![]() Author has written 2 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, My Little Pony, and Splatoon. My name is HyperFlare957 and I am a huge Sonic Fan. My OC: Hyper the Hedgehog Gender: Male Age: Unknown Alignment: Good Likes: Freedom - Like most people, Hyper loves being able to do things when and how he wants. Along with that, he likes being able to go where he wants to go without any limitations. Music - The audio form of art, Hyper loves to listen to music, mainly those which are in relation to video games. It could be a song that has nothing to do with a game, but as long as it has a connection to a game he likes, he'll more than likely be interested in it. This doesn't stop him from liking regular music though. Swimming - Despite having a lot in common with Sonic, Hyper can actually swim and he loves doing so. When he goes to a swimming pool, the beach or a lake, he will wear a pair of black and orange board shorts, along with a short sleeved version of his usual jacket. However, Hyper still rocks his custom kicks and gloves. Hyper has learnt to swim underwater without spinning or attempting to run, so he can be a fairly reliable friend to have in the water. Video Games - I mean, who DOESN'T love video games?! Hyper plays a range of games from racing, first person shooters, platformers and puzzle games. He has discovered the Sonic games and thoroughly enjoys them, but he has gotten pretty hooked on Team Fortress 2. Other games include Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS and Minecraft, along with the recently released Splatoon 2. Dislikes: Common major enemies/villains - I'm sure you know the kind of people that I'm talking about, right? They are the worst of the lot when it comes to affecting the main cast. They'll come around and mess with the lives of the protagonists in major ways that really gets on your nerves. Hyper has seen this in many forms, ranging from a complete stranger to overall bad guys, all of them he hates greatly. However, once these guys are gone, someone is bound to take their place in the next few episodes with just as much of an effect on the cast as the last. Slowness - Like Sonic, Hyper can get impatient when things become too slow. On occasions, he'll cope, but when he really wants to get somewhere, it would be in your best interest to hurry up. Rain - The rain can be calming, but it is usually cold to the touch. Hyper hates being in the rain for two reasons. 1. It's cold. 2. Wet clothes will weigh him down and reduce his speed. Unlike swimming pools, the water that falls from the sky isn't warm, regardless of whether it's a hot day or not. That and he swims in a separate outfit. Showoffs - We all know those people. The ones that get through life belittling others and showing off their 'Amazing talents that no one can top'. Hyper cringes at the sight of such people. It's these people that can trigger his anger within seconds. It's either EQUAL, LESSER or GONE. Hyper might have a bragging moment, but he feels it's not worth it. The longer the show off remains, the angrier he gets, eventually leading to the point of confrontation with no remorse. In this state, any successful moves pulled off by the bragger will just increase Hyper's rage, so usually, it'll be resolved or 'Dealt with' (as in, beaten up or killed). Spiders - One of the most common phobias, Hyper is afraid of Spiders. I mean who wouldn't be? This, however, is debatable as sometimes he will be okay with killing them himself. The bigger the spider, the greater the chance of Hyper turning tail and running as far away from it as possible. Hyper will also freak out if one happens to latch onto him, no matter what size it is. Luckily, Hyper can counter this fear by doing as most people say and kill it with fire. Sadly, not everything can be solved this way as the Spiders won't be the only thing getting burnt. Strengths: Assurance - It's always good to know when something is going to happen. Hyper works best when he knows what's coming and when. Some acceptions will be when lives are at risk or he is too busy to care, but otherwise, know what you're planning when it comes to Hyper. Heat - It's only suitable for a being that controls fire to be stronger in a hot environment. Hyper's fire attacks become deadlier is such conditions, as a single ember can leave 1st to 3rd-degree burns. He can still tone down the attacks, but it becomes harder in temperatures over 100 degrees. Another key factor is his attire. Hyper's jacket and jeans absorb heat, helping him increase his fire abilities. Well lit areas - With light comes safety, well not sure about the light that people tell you to move towards. Hyper can feel better when there are little to no places for his enemy to hide. With that being said, he can light up dark places with his fire, but most of the time there is a flammable object or something around. The best time for Hyper to fight is between 8 am and 5 pm. Depending on daylight savings. The sun has to be up and visible. Weaknesses: Cold - Hyper can cope with a slight breeze, but anything that makes him feel cold will get a reaction out of him. That being said, when he becomes cold, he'll drop what he's doing just to warm up. This could be the most dangerous to Hyper as he will stop fighting seriously or completely avoid combat to regain his heat. Fatigue - When most people get tired, they take it easy. With Hyper, he'll become reluctant to do anything. Walking, fighting, playing games, hell even communicating. Sadly, if Hyper does suffer from fatigue, you might want to wait until he's rested. Isolation within quiet areas - We all know that feeling. You could be walking down a poorly lit street and you have no one to walk with. Hyper can become paranoid of his surroundings in these situations, where even complete silence makes him afraid. Must be all those Creepypastas that he's been reading. At night even. Darkness - This is sort of a minor/major problem, as how bad the effect becomes being dependant on Hyper's courage and if he's currently focused on something else. If he has not met those conditions, Hyper will be prone to cowardly actions like running. The worst thing that can effect Hyper are red lights shining in the darkness, mainly because they could resemble the eyes of Sonic EXE or the gem of Tails Doll. Abilities: SuperSonic Speed - Since Hyper has part of Sonic's DNA, he can run just as fast. Spin Dash - The basis of any hedgehog's arsenal, Hyper curls himself up into a ball and spins on the spot. He stays in place by using fire to prevent friction, thus keeping him in place. At higher velocities, the fire becomes hotter than 100 degrees, being able to dig through most surfaces with ease. Homing Attack - Hyper propels himself towards an enemy with a fiery Dash attack, burning wood, fabric and anything flammable in mere seconds. Light Speed Attack - A barrage of homing attacks at light speed, made stronger with fire. Hyper, however, does not need Light Speed Shoes, as he can naturally build up energy with his spindash. The only flaw is he must generate enough heat around him while spinning to absorb the resulting fire. This takes time but can be used instantly at the cost of damage output. Full Flare Boost - A fire like variant of the Sonic Boom, increasing the temperature around Hyper while Super Heating him for Critical Damage output Chaos Techniques - Chaos Control, Chaos Spear and Chaos Blast. Pyrokinetic/Fire - Hyper can control fire and execute stronger attacks with it. His fire attacks can become stronger when in hot conditions. Along with his fire abilities, he can hand forge anything from metals to crystals into a weapon or object. He needs some time to do so, however, so a battle with no breaks can cross out this option. Borrowed Abilities from other franchises: Super Mario Bros. Fireball (Fire Mario) - Despite the lack of a Fire Flower, Hyper can easily mimic the standard attack method used by Mario's Fire state. Normally the flame will not remain underwater, but with chaos energy, the attack can be performed the same way above water. Mario Finale - Mario's Final Smash from the Super Smash Bros. Series. Using his pyrokinetic abilities, Hyper can replicate the technique and create two flames that twist around each other. Final Fantasy Cross Slash - One of Cloud Strife's Limit Breaks. Upon witnessing this technique performing in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS, Hyper felt like giving it a shot. Although he cannot do so with a huge buster sword yet, he has attempted to perform the Cross Slash with two swords. Street Fighter Hadouken - The signature move of Street Fighter's Ryu. Hyper had become determined to learn the technique and decided to practice the Hadouken. Thanks to Hyper's fire abilities, he can easily perform the 'Shakunetsu Hadouken', a fire based variant of the move. Although he sees the similarities between the Hadouken and the Kamehameha Wave, he cannot perform the latter... at least not yet. Shoryuken - One of the signature moves from the Street Fighter Universe. A rising uppercut that can finish off a match, launch opponents and possibly break someone's jaw. Although anyone could perform it, it takes training and skill to properly use the Shoryuken. The most common variant of this technique is the 'Shin Shoryuken', having more power behind it as well as some flashy effects. Tatsumaki Senpukyaku - A commonly used technique from the Street Fighter Universe. Though hard to pronounce, the move is just a series of horizontal spin kicks that can be used to push back enemies or to cover some extra distance. Somehow, this technique allows the user to float for the duration of the attack. Dragon Ball Z Ki Blasts - The standard method of fast-paced attack in the Dragon Ball Universe. Although it is called a 'Ki Blast', Hyper adopted his own variant, using fire in place of ki. Sadly, fire used in this way can easily break apart and disappear before reaching its target. However, infusing the fire with chaos energy makes it just as effective, so it's on the boarder of becoming a Fiery Chaos Spear. The Kamehameha wave - The signature move of Son Goku, main protagonist and one of the few pure-blooded Saiyans of the Dragon Ball Universe. Originally created by the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi, Goku successfully performed the technique during his childhood, resulting in the destruction of a nearby vehicle. The move is a large beam of ki energy that takes a few seconds to charge, with stronger variants requiring more time. Hyper has found the technique to be interesting, but even with Chaos energy, he cannot replicate it... but he will continue to try. Final Flash - A technique created by Vegeta, prince of the Saiyans and long term rival of Goku. This attack creates a large burst of energy directed by the hands, obliterating anything unfortunate to get caught within the beam. Hyper discovered this technique through playing 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse', and upon learning it from Vegeta himself in-game, he always resorted to this move upon achieving the form of Super Saiyan 1 and 2. On Mobius, Hyper practiced the Final Flash, but failed until a burst of rage enabled him to successfully pull it off. The downside is Hyper cannot use the technique without being in a state of intense rage. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Sonic Rainboom - The Famous Sonic Rainboom, a unique technique that only Rainbow Dash can perform. According to Pinkie Pie, it is the result of a Sonic Boom and a Rainbow happening at the same time. Hyper has yet to learn about this ability. Skills: Intelligence - Despite Hyper having the traits and mixed abilities of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, he has got a reliable amount of knowledge. Hyper can make suitable choices and figure out problems though it fails him on occasions. Parkour - Like Sonic, Hyper can run up walls, along walls and even run across the ceiling with his speed. When performing Parkour, Hyper will create fiery after images and leave a trail of stars to ward off pursuers. He can make the fiery after images disappear to avoid harming followers and by doing so, he increases his speed. Swordplay - Somewhere along the way, Hyper grew fascinated with swords and so he began to train with them. Although not officially trained, Hyper's swordsmanship rivals that of Meta Knight's, being quick to act and almost always going for the weak spots. Hyper's tactics with a sword vary from predictable to guaranteed hit. He is strong enough to wield two swords at once, but his attack patterns become less than random. Melee/Fist Fighting - Like Sonic, Hyper isn't afraid to pull a few punches. Unlike Sonic, however, he is willing to completely demolish his enemy with his fists. Hyper shares his brawling style with Sonic and Knuckles, but does have his own tricks. Hyper can strengthen his punches by surrounding them with fire. Same with any kicks. Forging/Blacksmith - Along with his love of swords, Hyper found a way to make them on the spot. By Super Heating the palms of his hands, he can bend, shape and detail almost any material into a reliable weapon in seconds. There isn't a limit on what he can make, but he has to be focused to complete it. Firearms - For some reason, Hyper just loves Shotguns, Scatterguns too. He may not be a master with these guns, but as long as he enjoys using them, it works itself out in the end. Also there is a chance that Hyper's damage with firearms will increase dramatically, as he can even unintentionally shoot a bullet encased with fire to deal a random critical hit. Bats, sticks and poles - Since Hyper is skilled with a sword, it's only natural for the same to be true with other melee weapons. The baseball bat is Hyper's go to weapon if he wants to 'hit some home runs'. He got the swing down thanks to Super Smash Bros and later improved it with Team Fortress 2's Scout. To sum it up; he is skilled with nearly every club/sword. Transformations: Super Transformation - By using the Hyper Emeralds, Hyper takes the form of HyperFlare, a state that grants the power of flight, invincibility, increased speed and stronger fire abilities. Hyper's jacket and jeans become a golden variant of the originals when in this form, so does his fur along with all of his spines pointing upwards. Crystal Hedgehog Form (My Little Pony - The Mystery Element Exclusive) - ??? Crystal HyperFlare (My Little Pony - The Mystery Element Exclusive) -??? Hyper Transformation - By using the Chaos and Hyper Emeralds, Hyper takes the form of Super HyperFlare, further enhancing his abilities to the point of being able to create, control and extinguish fire at will. In this form, Hyper's fur, jacket, jeans, and eyes cycle through the same colors as Hyper Sonic's fur does. Rage (My Little Pony - The Mystery Element Exclusive) - Hyper can achieve this state if he is overall annoyed, angry or pissed off. This grants him the ability to use deadlier fire based attacks and Hyper becomes somewhat feral to the point of sadistically beating up his enemies, possibly even killing them. It is a rare occurrence, as Hyper's blood needs to be 50% corrupt to become this enraged. With this state, Hyper's left eye turns a pure black and his pupil becomes a bloodshot red dot and with each passing second spent in this state, Hyper's left eye will start crying blood and he will gain a demonic grin, however, it is restricted to the left side of his face. On the plus side, each successful blow he deals will purify his blood slightly on the spot, even if there is no natural life in the area. He loses the state once calm or severally weakened to near unconsciousness. Hyper EXE (My Little Pony - The Mystery Element Exclusive): If Hyper were to become entirely corrupted by a rare virus, his eyes turn black, pupils becoming bloodshot red dots, tears of blood run down his muzzle and he gains a demonic grin. Like Sonic EXE, he becomes a demonic variant of a god, playing, toying and torturing his victims. However, there is an extremely rare chance of Hyper having full control over his corrupted state. This takes time, remembering or a miracle to achieve this, as once done, the form is Hyper's to use for the greater good. However, he can still lose control if overcome by intense rage in the form, which can be easy as Hyper's temper hangs by a single thread. SuperNova Hyper (My Little Pony - The Mystery Element Exclusive) - A rare form that can only be obtained through the use of the Chaos and Hyper Emeralds, as well as the Elements of Harmony. In this form, Hyper assumes powers close to that of a god. Any attacks he once had are now strengthened by a thousand times and he becomes completely invincible against any attacks. His orange stripes and markings become an intense Rainbow color, his pupils become pure golden ovals and his quills become sharper while his fur changes to a rich, fluorescent yellow. His jeans and jacket become a crystal white color with the orange patterns having a topaz texture, while his shoes' black section change into a sparkly gold and the buckles disappear. Hyper's personality is unchanged from his base form, but he is more willing to give people and/or ponies another chance. 5-17-21-5-19-20-18-9-1-14 20-18-1-14-19-6-15-18-13-1-20-9-15-14-19: 16-15-14-25 - ??? Personality: Hyper takes the traits of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, while also adopting his own as well. He usually has a courageous and slightly cocky attitude, but can show an interest in technology. Unfortunately, Hyper also gained Knuckles rage, but it is far worse; for the target I mean. Although he was born of Chaos Energy, he cannot understand the entity known as Chaos. The reason for Hyper knowing Sonic isn't because of anything the Master Emerald had shown. He was originally half of the being known as Hyper Sonic, which explains the similar appearance. Hyper is usually in a state of neutral threat, which can change almost instantly given the right circumstances. Several things to take into account; If you see Hyper with a baseball bat, sword or shotgun, be careful with your approach. Also, do not interrupt him if he is currently busy. You'll just increase his hostility towards you, how much varies from person to person. Story: After the events of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, the Super Emeralds had been unused and the Master Emerald's energy had become unstable. In order to prevent any excess energy from seeping into the ground and spreading across the planet, the Super Emeralds needed to be reverted to stabilize the Chaos. However, since this was the first recorded time that this happened, a living being had to be created to carry the DNA that was tied to the Emeralds. This creature took the shape of Sonic, the one that used the Emeralds the most, but seemed to have adopted a dark fur color. This represented the dark energy that was in the gems, while the orange markings secretly came from Tikal's DNA. However, once the hedgehog had fully developed, there was still a bit of energy left that needed to be transferred. This took the form of Sonic's sneakers with a suitable color, a pair of jeans, a jacket and a pair of orange gloves with red wrist cuffs. Finally, the creature was born, but just as this happened, a flame shield monitor had been drawn towards the hedgehog. This caused it to be consumed with fire and strangely, it gave the creature life. He had no name, but one word kept running through his head.
