![]() This is a joint account between two authors. Our pennames are QueenOfTheGyrffindorks and Slytherinchickk. Together we're DorksInAction. Creative, right? In our defense we are majorly dork-ish and writing is an action! Moving on. So I'm going to tell you a story that you more than likely don't care about. However, I'm going to tell you it anyway. Once upon a time in the far away land of far far away there lived two girls. They weren't normal girls. Not by any means, they can make things happen when they were scared and angry. After eleven years of unexplainable oddities they got acceptance letters to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Like all new students they were sorted. One of us ended up among the brave in Gryffindor and the other deep in the depths of the snake pit with the cunning Slytherins. Naturally they are rivals and hate eachother! So much that QueenOfTheGryffindorks has pushed Slytherinchickk into the black lake for the gaint squid to eat. Saddly, the squid turned out to be a vegetarian and used his tenticals to fish Slytherinchickk from the water and sit her gentally on the shore line. With a pat on Slytherinchickk's head the squid disapeared into the black lake and never showed himself to them again. QueenOfTheGryffindorks was not discouraged by this at all. She had a plan and was ready to execute it. So QueenOfTheGryffindorks broaded for a while giving Slytherinchickk a false sense of security. A few months later QueenOfTheGryffindork's plan went into action. It was the first Quidditch match of the season. Slytherin verse Gryffindor as always. Both girls were on their respective house team QueenOfTheGryffindorks as a chaser and Slytherinchickk as a Keeper. QueenOfTheGryffindorks waited til Madam Hootch wasn't paying attention, and somehow acquired a beater bat. With it she accidentally knocked Slytherinchickk of her broom. Slytherinchickk wasn't flying that high so she didn't get hurt. However, QueenOfTheGryffindorks lost her balance after hitting Slytherinchickk so hard with the bat that she fell too. They were now both on the ground rolling around in a full on muggle cat fight! Once Madam Hootch realized what was going on she broke it up and gave them both two weeks of detention with Snape. Somehow while scrubbing cauldrens they became friends of sorts and realized they shared a common love, writing about the wizarding world. Neither liked only writing their own stories all the time so they formed a collaboration and thus DorksInAction was born. Don't believe it? Me either. Okay so the real truth? One of us is a Gryffindor and the other a Slytherin. Obviously, but there's more to it than that. We're IRL friends and for those of you who are dense IRL means in real life. One of us writes dark stories, and is only capable at writing slash stories that most of the time are Drarrys. Said writer is horrible at grammar, but tries her darnedest to get better. (How am I doin'?) The other is a romantic sappy Hufflepuff type writter, but is utter rubbish at writing slash. However, makes up for it with impeccable grammar. So rather than listening to little miss romance complain about my grammar skills I did the logical and asked her to beta my stories. After months of this we finally decided to combind our talents in our different, but both respected fanfiction branches. Thus, DorksInAction was born. I'm sure you all loved that amazing story, even if more than half of it was a lie, and want to hear more, but I fear I have nothing more to say on the birth of our joint account. Currently we are working on a new story idea! *waits for cheers to stop* Exciting right? Not really. I assure you when the time comes you'll be all over it like white on rice! Until then you can check out our personal stories to which I will post links for. ~QueenOfTheGryffindorks :D Links to our individual penname profiles: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2545927/QueenOfTheGryffindorks and http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2525972/Slytherinchickk Haha mine's first ;P |
