Just when Sherlock realized that he couldn't do without Molly, Molly realized that she could get along perfectly well without Sherlock. And so began the very odd, somewhat dangerous, and mostly disastrous courtship of Molly Hooper by a man who didn't have a clue what he was doing. With Moriarty's return, will Sherlock be able to save Molly? Or will Moriarty succeed in burning the detective's heart out?

In the end the greatest threat to Molly's life as a result of her relationship with Sherlock didn't come from a master criminal like Moriarty, nor was it from a minor thug hell-bent on revenge, or even from Sherlock himself - at least not directly. The threat which had caused Molly to be admitted to casualty and rushed into emergency surgery came entirely from within.

Sherlock feels like an intruding third wheel, and so does Mary. John feels split in two and doesn't want to let any of them go. But what happens when a status quo becomes unbearable? Vatican cameos: Mycroft. [Johnlockary]

She's ready to change their dynamic and make sure he can't mistreat her anymore. But Sherlock ends up feeling guilty, and offers to do something unusual to make up for the hurt he caused.
