When Deathly Hallows I came out several years ago, I, like thousands of others, became completely enamored by Scabior. As soon as I got home from the movie theater, I typed up a smutty one-shot and posted it. It was the second Scabior fiction ever posted. I didn't realize it at the time, but it would become a 90-chapter-long story that that would take several years to write. It was removed from the site in 2012, but I have slowly been working on putting it back up.

I think that it's important to note the tonal shift of Scabior's Protection since it was originally written. As a feminist and an advocate of consent, choice, and agency, it has been very hard to reconcile my ideals with my own fantasies and desires. I myself am a survivor of sexual assault, and I've experienced abusive and unhealthy relationships. I think that this rewrite reflects the idea that we can have fantasies, that we can indulge ourselves and forgive ourselves, while also acknowledging the realities of abuse, violation, and "bad boy culture."

The original story is filled with plot holes, Mary Sue moments, errors, and inconsistencies. Because of that, I'm making changes and rewrorking everything. It's a difficult process, but it's made easier by reading what you guys have to say about the story. Thank you so much for your reviews, messages, encouragement, and criticism over the years.
