![]() Author has written 11 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, and Resident Evil. Hello, My name is Rikku Minouke. I love fanfics with Botan in general, but when it comes to pairings, I prefer it to either be with Hiei or Kurama. Either or neither I like to say. I rather dislike when they pair Hiei and Kurama together; yes I am for gay marriage rights and all that jazz, but I worry about their characters morphing together in such a way that I couldn't possibly see that one as ever happening. So if that is something you desire, I will not be of any help in that category. Also I grew up with playing a lot of video games with my older brothers. To this day I am still a big gamer and most of the time I obsess over anything dealing with Resident Evil. I have played/ own almost every RE game ever created. Recently I have fallen in love with Jake Muller and Sherry as the worlds greatest couple ever created. However prior to that, I adored anything with Claire: Claire and Steve, Claire and Wesker, and of course Claire and Leon. In honesty, I hate Ada. Would never put her in my stories even though I understand why she would have to play a part which is why I would stick to AU stories for this category. However, if what you want is an author who won't hold their tongue about real emotions and real events/experiences that often occur, than I am the woman for you. I admit that I have a hard time filtering out things and more likely than not, it seems that stories fair better when authors don't try to butter it up and hide the facts. Enough about my writing; you've obviously came here to learn a bit more about the woman behind the curtain. I've been writing since I was in seventh grade in junior high school. For the life of me, I could barely read and hardly write even at that advanced age, but than a friend, not even that, a complete stranger introduced me to this website and with my life as I know it now, I tend to drown into two things (not including work): anime and being an author. As the years went on, I found myself being able to develop better reading skills as well as writing the more I ventured on this site. Fanfiction created an author in me and I will be the first to admit that to this day I owe Fanfiction my future. When it comes to writing, I have entered two writing conferences. One came upon me when I was a junior in high school while I participated in a writer's club that helped advance techniques and gave a safe environment to the writer's of the school. They no longer are able to hold that conference for the lack of funds, but I remember striving to work so hard on my work because I wanted to be accepted. It was called the 'River Valley Writer's Conference.' The following year I had become the leading president for that writer's club, and I don't mean to boost my own ego, but that was the most prosperous year for that club. If you would like people to verify that claim, than I shall get thirty or so signatures (or emails), that concur. This leads me to the next conference I attended. It was through the Augsburg College in Minnesota where I was able to present an excerpt from a story I was writing and read it in front of the board members there and several other acceptees. There were over 280 people that applied and I was 1 out of 12 that were accepted. My greatest writing experience besides that conference was when I was a freshman at St. Cloud State University. Over the summer I was able to take a class that allowed you to sit in a room with 30 other students for four days and during each day you were able to talk to five authors that had been published and widely renown. If I could, I would retake that class just to rejoice at that experience again. I will always greatly accept any messages of all sorts, although, if they are not so nice messages, it will sadden me fore I will take it to heart because I take writing to be a serious matter. With that in mind, however, I will try to do my utter most to improve from what it is I am lacking in. My supervisor at my last job told me that I was one of those workers that once I am notified by what I am doing wrong, that I will keep that in mind and won't do it again. Please, I encourage you for feed back and I hope you enjoy my writing. Thank you, Rikku Minouke |
