I'm Laura, and I'm new to the whole fanfiction thing, but this is such a great, supportive group that you all inspired me to give it a try. I had all of these stories just sitting around in my head, and now I have a way to share them with others. Thanks for the reviews and encouragement.

Let's see...what else do you want to know about me? I live in Texas -- and no, I don't ride horses, wear a cowboy hat or like country music. ;) I do like wakeboarding, cycling, snow skiing, and acting. If only I could win the "get in the gate" contest and show them my skills, then they would cast me for sure. Okay...seriously, I'm not giving up my day job...but a girl can dream, right?

Some of my favorite shows are Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1 (not as much since RDA left, though), Battlestar Galactica, 24, and Lost. I also like Scrubs and My Name is Earl -- very funny!

I'm definitely a "shipper." My favorite "ships" are Mulder/Scully from the X-Files, Jack/Sam from SG1, and Elizabeth/John from SGA. However, I try not to stray too far from canon when writing. I like the angst and UST of the couples.

So far, I've written one SGA story, but I'm sure there will be others coming soon. I found that having someone read, enjoy, and review your story is such a thrill. I'm completely addicted!
