Hello, fellow author! As you can already tell, I go by "Royal Karma" here on this site. Or, if you would rather not type that out everytime you want to address me, I'm also fine with being referred to as just "Karma."

I'm an aspiring author/artist (still in the beginning stages so trust me, my art is SHITE) and I was drawn to this site to help me practice my writing skills. Being a fan of the Pokémon series, I'm going to focus on that for now. After reading several stories here, I've finally decided to write my own story. I'm currently in the process of creating the characters, storyline and region, but it's going pretty good and I have some exciting things planned for this story. It's a story I've wanted to tell for a few years now, and finally realized that if I don't start writing now, I might never do it.

I am going to tell you now that the story I have planned will have nuzlocke influences in it. It isn't going to be so extreme to the point that every single battle is a life or death situation, and if a Pokémon loses that automatically means they die no matter what, but the fact that the element of death is there will give many battles that serious tone. The setting is a new region created solely by me. This is not an Ashfic, high school fic or romance fic (although some romance may be sprinkled in later on). There will be no humans turning into Pokémon or vice versa. This will be an adventure story of a young man who goes on an journey, expecting one thing but getting something else entirely. A story that will have you interested and coming back for more after each chapter. A story that will, at times, subvert your expectations. A story that I am very excited to tell.

Side note: I have seen the two groups going around copy/pasting the same comments on story after story. I do not want me, or my story, to be a part of this once I begin writing. Before I publish my first chapter, so as to keep the reviews section open only for those who want to give their thoughts on the story and not as a way to attack other users, I will take the liberty of blocking each and every one of them. If anyone from these two groups happens to be reading this, I am not looking for a fight, just to be left alone. Please respect my wishes, and do not go out of your way to hunt me down once my story is published.
