I grew up watching the original Thunderbirds series on TV. We’d race home from school and sit waiting impatiently for it to come on. Originally we watched it in black and white, and when we got colour TV I was amazed to find that TB2 was actually green!

I have played online trivia for years and have written quite a few quizzes for that site. (Yes, one is about Thunderbirds and one about Gerry Anderson). One day I played a quiz that had a Thunderbirds question and it got me thinking. I know, strange but true. I stumbled onto the fanfiction site and was immediately hooked.

All my life I had imagined IR and the Tracy boys as real, and to find that other people felt the same was liberating. I felt I wasn’t crazy after all! Well, maybe just a little crazy.

I have just started writing fanfics, and love coming up with the idea for a story, putting pen to paper (fingers to keyboard just doesn’t sound the same) and bringing the story to life. Then comes the scary part. Posting and waiting to see if anyone else likes the baby I have put so much time and effort (and love) into.

I base my stories around the original series since that was the medium I first fell in love with. So that means that Jeff is at the helm, John is blond and Gordon the (sandy)-red. TinTin is Kyrano's daughter, not Kayo, and there's no Max, Sherbet or Ios. Oh, and Grandma can cook.
