![]() Author has written 4 stories for Pride and Prejudice, and Emma. I am a creativity junkie... attracted to abstract ideas and concrete solutions... Drawn often into senseless debates when my passion is sparked (usually about music or socio-economic issues) until my brain registers it as a senseless activity to which I cease and desist immediately and walk away. I love music, all types, all genres indiscriminately... I write in spurts, I'm a start up junkie, resident shiny object girl. I like to paint, take pictures, write poems and start stories I don't finish. I like to cook. I think I'm pretty good at it, but then again, I'm the only one who tastes it, so I am extremely biased in my own favor. I light incense, burn candles, drink single malt scotch, eat, pray and love out loud. I like people, except when I am in hermit mode, then I don't want to be around them so much. I know lots of people, but have very few friends. I like to travel. I love the ocean and find mountains fascinating. They don't do much, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to stare at them. My favorite city to date is San Diego, but that is subject to change once I finally make it to Firenze I suffer from High Self Esteem. I have a big ego that is routinely pruned, but it doesn't stop me from thinking I am, well... close to spectacular! I am exceedingly (ha, FF word!) normal in my uniqueness. I open my mouth and sounds come out. Thank you for caring enough to read my ramblings. Favorite Books: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston; Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen; Sassafrass, Cypress, Indigo by Ntzoke Shange; The Heart of a Woman by Maya Angelou; The Awakening by Kate Chopin; Sula by Toni Morrison I prefer Shakespeare's Comedies to the Tragedies (Though I love Macbeth) Random Written Things That I Like... Quotes and Such 'We are not and cannot be separated from God because our being is innately one with the whole of Divine Consciousness. We can’t go anywhere but within our own nature to realize the truth of our own nature in God and find the reality that is our true Self. We can’t go out and get It when we are already It. We can only work to remove whatever is obstructing our realization of already being It." ...Learn to win a lady's faith Lead her from the festive boards, "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, non but ourselves can free our minds" SONNET 116 "The enemy of "the best" is "just fine" - unknown "Any two people can fall into each other's arms and find that they enjoy the feeling. But to fall into someone else's mind--now that can be dangerous." Roger Ebert Sonnet 46 |
