After a stakeout goes awry, Crane manages to escape, but not before exposing Nightwing to his toxin. Seemingly unaffected by it, the family assumes the new mixture is a failure. As the toxin festers in his system, it attacks him full force. whump galore

He doesn't notice it at first. He's too happy. He's back. Damian's alive, and talking to him. Jason and Tim are mad at him for a little while, but they both start talking to him, too. Cass gives him smiles and hugs. So, yeah. He's too caught up in his family to notice what's happening at first. In which Dick's trauma catches up to him before he's ready.

Jason finally worked up the nerve to ask Dick out. He has to contend with a enabling Roy, a plotting Tim and he really should learn to consider his surroundings.

Wally is appalled to hear Dick's comments about a male rape victim, but the issue may run deeper than he thinks. Trauma works in odd ways.

Dick and Damien have just gotten back to the Batcave after a long patrol. They are both tired and Dick has sustained heavy injuries. As they start debriefing, Dick senses they are not alone.

Slade's a pretty common fixture in Dick's life, so it's not really a surprise when he hunts down the warehouse of a gang he's tracking and finds that Slade's been hired to protect it for the night. He's also definitely not about to back down just because of that, so he goes in anyway. He's not expecting to beat Slade, but he's not expecting the consequences of trying either.

When Dick woke up in the morning, he wasn't expecting to have a hangover and be in a place that wasn't his house. Even more surprising was who the said place belonged to, and Dick couldn't remember a damned thing.

Jason sees the signs, but he doesn't believe them. Doesn't think about them. He just knows that Dick is not doing alright.
