Author has written 1 story for Chrono Trigger. Now you can find the latest beta chapters and leave feedback at my new forum. Sometimes you can read the latest chapter a whole month before it appears here. Stop by and say hi at:-Now, back to our regularly schedlued bio.-- Wow, someone actually is going to read my bio?!? I am impressed at the level of pain tolerance that you appear to have... First, the soulful part of my being, I hear the age old question now, 'Why are you here writing stuff?' I am here because of the apparent lack of development in my writing skills. I know that I have them, I just haven't used any since '99 when I started my first term in college. I take my time in writing chapters and go over them the best that I can. Although I do make extensive use of the grammar check in Word, I only use it as a base guide and try to understand why a particular sentence is out of place. I truly feel that my writing will be above average quality, not because I'm some great prodigy, but because I take my time and hoping that the community here will help me to make my stories great. Just in case I do something stupid, I post here; I really, really want feedback. Feedback is going to help my development as a writer and editor. I feel that writing is not something to do just because you are bored (although that can be a good enough reason in it's own right, and some great stores have been born of boredom), but as a way to hone one's ability to convey a message and 'sound' out their feelings. I take my writing seriously and will finish what I start even if I end up letting a story atrophy for a year or two, I will come back and finish it. As for the rest of my life, I am a rather fun guy. I like to goof off and relax. There is nothing like coming home from a hard day at work and playing Chrono Trigger or Skies of Arcadia. Although I am not hardcore, I do enjoy my video games. If I am in a more masochistic mood, I'll take apart my computer and see how many other way's I can force it to do something well beyond its abilities. I find pleasure in pushing older technology beyond its bounds. That is why I have a 1996 machine running the newest software and doing things some of my friends machines could only dream of. Moreover, the whole thing only cost me $300 over a four-year period. I am not a complete techno-whore though, stick a book in front of me, and I will read it in one or two sittings. Heck, I polished off the fifth Harry Potter book in a few hours. If I could describe myself in one short phrase, I think that Sarcastically Warm would suit me. I am told that I am a nice, outgoing guy (despite my natural tendency to be shy) with a streak of sarcasm larger than every comedian put together. I do not act fake, and while I will try to spare a person's feelings, I also will not hesitate to tell them where to stick it, but only if they are deserving of my 'special' brand of hell. I like hearing what people have to say, drop me a line anytime. If I'm on AIM, feel free to chat (don't always trust the 'available' indicator though) and of course, I wouldn't have my email address posted here if I didn't ever want to recieve messages. |
