You can't wonder if you think you know everything

Whether you know a person well, you still can't judge them. Whether you've known them your whole life, you still don't know who they really are. Whether you've known them for years doesn't mean you have the right to insult or belittle them. We all have a voice. We all have a means to tell the world how we feel. We all have a right to be ourselves without masks or facades or even just plain pretending to be someone else to be liked. I am just another person who wants to use their voice and to use their right to speak out. Ask yourselves this. We have the means but do you have the courage and bravery to speak?

My name is unknown for now. My face is unseen. My traits and characteristics, you can guess but you'll never come close. Don't judge a book by it's cover. One of the most basic things to know but something so difficult to do. First impressions are based of looks. Second impressions based off of what they portray but when comes to the end, first impressions should not be seen with the eyes but with your heart and your mind, not just because of the way they look but on their traits, characteristics, personality! These things make a person who they are, not their physical appearance. Real Beauty shines from within throughout your whole life. Superficial beauty would hardly last a lifetime and will barely keep interest unless those who are with them are also superficial. Choose what you want: real beauty or superficial beauty?

My passion for writing drives me. My love of literature fuels my passion. Do not question this because all writers should have a passion for writing rather than to aim for the praises of others of their own written works to be sung to the skies. Praises are given to encourage not be the driving force of a story. Criticism is given because they care and want the author to develop more so they can become great writers. Flames are given by those who don't understand but don't word it properly and instead of giving constructive criticism, end up giving insults and degrade the author. Reviews are meant to tell how they found the story, not meant to sing praises or insult and degrade. Think about it the next time you review.

Something about me:

I am a Gryffindor by choice, I am a Ravenclaw by personality. When I first took the test, I was given a choice between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. It took me a while to decide but I eventually decided to go to Gryffindor. I didn’t realize that this also impacted my life. I chose to be in Gryffindor with its rambunctious students and rule breaking ways and the lack of intellectual conversation. I chose to develop my character rather than expand my knowledge.

Knowledge is power. I’ve been a firm believer of that since I was young but I also believed that fighting for what you believed in was right. I have the capability to earn grades which would have gotten me into the top percentile of my batch. I chose to perform at a lesser pace and rate compared to what I know I can achieve.

I chose to do this instead of obsessing over my grades, pushing myself to the limit day in and day out and having literally no social life. I chose to stay with people I knew would not be able to challenge intellectually but people who could help me grow to understand the world, people who would teach me to get used to how people actually are, people who would guide me into a person who could face the world with logic and facts but also with friends and loved ones by my side.

I knew in first year that if I did my best I could get some of the best grades in my class but I chose not to because I knew that if I continued as I did, I would have had no friends, I would have had no one to confide in. I was being bullied for being antisocial and being standoffish. I was being bullied for being awkward with boys and being bossy and I was talked about behind my back.

I knew that if I continued like this, I would not grow. I would not learn to be a better person. I would still be socially inept. I would still be that little girl in the corner who no one talked to. So I chose to be brave and take on the world. I found friends in my section, friends who I still am very close to. I found out that there was more to life than my studies. I found solace in books at age 8 and I found appreciation for friends at age 11.

My friends pushed me to do things I wouldn’t have done without them. They backed me up, helped me when I needed help, cheered for me when I needed someone to care and were there for me even when everyone else turned on me which happened quite a few times that year. In first year high school, I made the decision to be a Gryffindor, to fight for what I believed in, to better myself wholly rather than just intellectually. I may be a Ravenclaw by personality, life style, behaviour and everything else you can think of but I am a Gryffindor by my choices, my heart and my courage. And I dare you reading this to refute that.
