Sonic and Shadow both run faster than the speed of sound which is 344 m/s(meters per second) ,770 mph or 1238km/h under normal atmospheric conditions.

Silver the hedgehog is said to have gone through over 50 designs before reaching his final look. He was also considered to be a mink, but that idea was later abandoned.It is also revealed that Silver was originally named "Venice" after Venice, Italy.

Tails' name "Miles Prower" is a pun on "miles per hour".

Tails' intelligence matches Eggman's, but in Sonic Battle he has an attack called the 'IQ 400 attack', suggesting that his IQ is considerably higher than Eggman's IQ of 300.

Knuckles' favorite food is listed in various early Sonic the Hedgehog games manuals as being grapes.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog manga published in 1992, Sonic's name was Nikki.

When Sonic CD was released in America, Amy's name was given as "Princess Sally" in the game manual as a tie in with the cartoon, even though the two characters were completely different and from different continuities. This name is also used for the character in an obscure stage-show musical from the UK.

According to the Japanese manual for Sonic CD, Amy's nickname is "Rosy the Rascal". This name is also seen in Sonic the Fighters. It hasn't been seen since. The nickname "Rosy the Rascal" is most likely a play on "Rosy the Riveter", a feminist character and national icon which represents the women that had to work during World War 2 when all of their husbands were drafted.

Amy is the first female character introduced into the game universe and also one of the most popular.

Amy is one of the few characters in the Sonic universe with an official last name (Rose, other characters being Miles "Tails" Prower and Dr. Ivo Robotnik).

Wolf's Rain

In the beginning of episodes 25 and 26, there was some footage cut out that was very vital to the plot.

Wolf's Rain was originally created by Keiko Nobumoto, a writer and story editor (well known for her work on the popular anime series Cowboy Bebop), who also simultaneously published a manga version of the story.

Wolf's Rain takes place in a post-apocalyptic time when much of the world has been ecologically devastated in a form of fimbulwinter(From Norse mythology, three successive winters where snow comes in from all directions, without any intervening summer as the immediate prelude to the end of the world) and most people live in poverty.

Toboe is 2 years old as a wolf and 12 years old as a human.XD

Toboe is a red wolf or an Arabian Wolf in the series.XD

Tsume is a Eurasian wolf or tundra wolf in the anime series.

Kiba is an arctic wolf in the series.

Hige is a Mexican wolf in the series.

Hige has the best sense of smell , while Toboe has the best hearing.

Blue is probably either part German Shepherd or part Siberian Husky.

Cheza was artificially created from a 'Lunar Flower' by the Noble Darcia the First using the lost art of alchemy. It is said by Darcia the Third that she is blind.

Darcia wants to use Cheza to somehow revive his lover Hamona, who has been stricken with "Paradise sickness", in which her soul is "taken by Paradise", causing her to fall into a coma.

Darcia said that Quent was a wolf-turned-human who forgot his life as a wolf and therefore, cannot turn into his wolf form.

There have been rumors that the kitten that Toboe picked up in the last episode was Blue, and the wolves fighting in the beginning theme song are Quent and Hubb.

Kiba, Tsume, Hige, and Toboe's name is the Japanese word for a "part" of a wolf.

Kiba (キバ (牙), "Fang"), Tsume (ツメ (爪), "Claw"), Hige (ヒゲ (髯), "Whisker"), Toboe (トオボエ (遠吠え), "Howling").

Inuyasha

Inu (犬) is a Japanese word meaning "dog". Yasha (夜叉) is a Buddhism-related word meaning "demon or demon warrior".

Tessaiga means Steel-Cleaving Fang.

The kanji of 'Sesshou' means 'killing or destruction of life.' 'Maru' is usually a suffix that is often added at the end of a Japanese name for young males in samurai families. They would use this name until they were recognized as adults, whereupon they would adopt a new name. Therefore Sesshomaru means "Destruction Man." However, it is said that 'maru' can also translate as the word for 'circle,' which is a common Japanese motif for what in the West is called 'the circle of life.' Although Kirara has the appearance of a nekomata, she does not exhibit the traditional traits of such, which normally include feeding on carrion (In the manga, she ate a dead bird), shapeshifting into human form, and necromancy.
