And at that moment, the spark that had stayed alive within him for the past eleven years flickered and went out.

James screamed as he threw his body at the fence which separated him from the mortal world, Lily sobbing hysterically beside him. This was unbearable, not being able to do anything as they witnessed Sirius Black being dragged off to a place worse than Hell itself.

Harry never really remembered what happened to him during the time he was unconscious and close to death in the Philosopher's Stone, but sometimes, at night, he would have dreams of being held and loved, wrapped up in his parents' tender arms. Little did he know that this was because it had actually happened.

As Sirius sits in Hagrid's pumpkin patch the night of the third task of the Triwizard Tournament, the feeling in the pit of his stomach tells him that something is going to go horribly wrong. Later, when he finds out the truth, his only wish is to take Harry away from all this, to a place where no one or nothing will ever hurt him again.
