I am a 31 year old Miami, Florida native and current resident.

I am relatively new to the Twi-verse, and by extension, the world of fan fiction. I was introduced to the Twilight series through a conversation that I had with my co-worker’s teenage daughter (thank you Elizabeth!), and immediately became obsessed.

I am fascinated by the characters that Stephenie Meyer has created in Twilight, and am of the opinion that there is a lot of room to “fill in the blanks” for those of us not ready to let go of the world of the stories. I actually think that SM’s strength in writing is her ability to create characters that are captivating and sympathetic while also tortured souls… This is resonant in her Twilight series as well as the characters in The Host.

The story that I have posted, Umbra, is my first attempt at filling in the proverbial "blanks" left in the story that SM has created, and I look forward to this endeavor with equal amounts of excitement and trepidation. As this is my first fan fic, and (as far as my memory permits) my first attempt at creative writing ever, I look forward to receiving and growing from your thoughts, reviews, and suggestions.
