Kate Beckett was looking to spend the day at the park with her son. Rick Castle was looking to spend the day at the park with his daughter. Little did they know, what they would find in each other, would change their lives.

This is a one-shot fic about Fiona and The Axeman which is basically supposed to be a "deleted scene" from Episode 11 of Coven. I wrote it so that it would fit in with the show, and be true to the characters as they were originally presented to us.

Rick Rodgers is a year 12 student starting a new school in New York. He is ushered into his first English class to find the one and only Kate Beckett sitting there staring at him. They instantly become best friends. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if they'd known each other since senior year?

Kate's spending the night with a boy too young for her and swears that this deal is her last. Will it be? Will a surprise man pick her up and help her? Who knows.

I believe in soul mates, I also believe that Castle and Beckett have something incredibly special between them. Something more spiritual, that runs deeper than we can imagine. I had written this a while ago on and I just found it on my laptop, and I figured, why not.
