Natsu Dragneel is the offspring of a red dragon and a human. Sometimes for short periods, Natsu finds himself in the body of a dragon. One such afternoon he sneaks off in pursuit of a scent that seems to be inviting him to follow — leading him to Gray Fullbuster, a young boy whose whole life has recently been turned upside down by a red dragon.
