Izuku was born with a sensory quirk, of all things. No one believed him for years, but when they did no one could understand it. The more he learned about his quirk, the less he cared. How could someone understand the human soul when they only heard it once?

"Deku" can be read as "never giving up". This describes Izuku's spirit perfectly... but what if he had a body that was capable of the same?

Izuku Midoriya and Kyoka Jirou don't have much in common aside from being classmates. Jirou happens upon Izuku suffering from his mental scars in the midst of lyricist's block. He opens up to her. But it's just a classmate being a Good Samaritan, right? It can't take less than a week for someone to fall hard for someone right? Right? *Rated M for language and eventual smut.

Without All Might, citizens are frightened and Villains seek anarchy. But through this, Izuku Midoriya will tell them, the whole world, that even without All Might, we can stand on our own feet. Citizens will once again feel safe, and Villains will hide in terror. Why? Because he will show them, that All Might may be gone, but they are still here. (Cover image is not mine.)

Kyouka has a talk with Izuku about something she learned during her internship, leading her to learning more about her green-haired classmate.

Midoriya's fight with Todoroki in the Sports Festival grants him more than a pat on the back from All Might, a worried mother, and a tentative friendship with Todoroki. When Jirou finds her expectations surpassed she takes an interest in Midoriya, with a healthy amount of admiration thrown into the mix. How will our two favorite heroes do? Idk.

Often in life, you don't get to chose your allies. Izuku Midoriya would learn this fact after being assigned with Kyouka Jirou, a classmate he had never previously spoken to, for a defense scenario exercise. They probably expected things to end there, but mutual curiosity laid the foundation for an unlikely friendship that would evolve differently for the two heroes in training.
