But at the same time, many gems! Anyway, I started writing when I was thirteen, as evident by the very poor quality of all my earlier creative throw ups. However, I do believe (sometimes, as I lay in bed at night, worrying about the meaning of life and the principles of quantum physics) that I am steadily improving with age and the gradual word count I am clocking up. I hate leaving stories unfinished, because then it will become a bad habit and I'm horrific at breaking bad habits, so before I start any new fic, I always have at least 20,000 words of the thing already on my computer, so I know that it will be something I am able to stick with and not just one of those mental brain spasms that I have far too often. So if I'm inactive for tens of months, that's probably where I'm at, writing ideas out and all of them failing, time and time again.
