Ever since she lifted the phone to her ear this morning and he said 'tell me you need me,' she's been acutely aware of just how badly she does need him. Alternate ending for 4x07. One shot.

"She won't give up, of course, will hold on with the same stubbornness that got her here, but grief is heavy and her hands may not be strong enough to support the weight of what might have been." An AU ending for Always (4x23).

When she told him to do whatever he wanted, she meant 'take the certain British secret agent offer.' She definitely didn't mean, well, this. Picks up after the Heat Wave launch party in 2x05. One-shot.

'Watching Kate Beckett dancing in a club is nothing short of a religious experience. Witnessing it once isn't enough.' A late season 3 four shot.

"She hesitates, turns it around slowly, mindful to not slosh the scalding brown liquid inside of it, to reveal the black sharpie letter decorating it. 'To the extraordinary KB, happy birthday.'" Set in season 4. In honor of this incredible woman's birthday.

Afterwards, Castle decided that it was the best dumb thing he had ever done. A short plotless ficlet set in early S5.

When Castle finally loses hope and starts pulling away, he decides to go on one last case with Beckett that takes them to upstate New York. Tensions quickly begin to rise as she fights to tell him how she really feels. (Mid S4, COMPLETE W/ EPILOGUE)

Beckett overhears Castle telling Demming that there's no flag on the play, which comes on top of an unsuccessful stay at the loft and a case which reopens a less-than-pleasant time in her past. AU of the second half of S2. Please see warning inside.

After their late-night cemetery dig, Castle and Beckett return to the precinct to clean up. They don't get to keep the treasure they found, but perhaps they'll stumble across something better. Set at the end of "Under the Gun" (3x03).

A few years after Johanna Beckett is killed, Castle and Beckett see each other in a club, and somehow he ends up with her phone. Semi-based off a tumblr prompt, pre-precinct.

I had intended this to be a one shot AU, but after some requests, I'm continuing it. What would have happened if Ryan's bullet had found Castle in 301? "Was that what you wanted to tell me, Kate?" Maybe Meredith was right; Castle did have a tendency to change the subject, to deflect away from the deeper and more personal issues. Or maybe it was simply that Kate had never asked the right questions. Post-ep for 5x10.
