Hi I'm a single mom of 5 (same baby-daddy; everyone seems to want to know so there it is).

I write software for DVR's. I'm blessed; when your job is fun, it isn't really work.

I like to read fanfic, help break writer's block, brainstorm plot lines or twists, and I like to beta. But I hate attention, so I only muse on the DL.

I got into reading fanfiction because I was trying to be able to relate better to one of my children, who's gay, and found other internet fiction communities should probably have porno music playing in the background. You, know, fair warning or something...

My son and I are on the autism spectrum; we're known as aspie's. If your child is ever diagnosed as one of us, I have one piece of advice: teach your child it's a superpower. Like every superpower, it's both a blessing and a curse. So focus on the blessing, and ignore when people are mean. (because, believe me, they're gonna be). Their meanness has absolutely no way of influencing one's inherent innovation. Therefore, it is irrelevant. Returning kindness for meanness generally diffuses it. When that doesn't work, you can always resort to humor."Run! Autism is contagious!"
