Well, since I started my own story, I thought it would be a good idea to have a filled out profile.

First lets get all the boring formal stuff out of the way;

Name: Prof. H.J Potter - Normally I go by Harry James Potter, so if you want to look me up, if you find someone called Harry James Potter, on a forum or something, that is most likely me.
Age: 23
Sex: Yes please, no seriously, Male - I have something dangling between my legs, does it need any explanations :D
Location: Behind the computer, in a house, in a street, in a city called Miami, in a state called Florida, in a place called the US of A, in a continent called North America. Before that I lived in Europe, in The Netherlands, in South-Holland in Rotterdam, somewhere in the west. (Stalkers, child molesters, mentally disturbed people, have fun tracking me down :D, its only good to be insane, when you're having fun being it)

Favo's
Books: I only write Harry Potter fanfiction so of course I like Harry Potter. Other books I like, Darren Shan, Dark Tower, Eragon, Batimeuas, Dragon Riders, LoTR, and any other good written fiction book. 1984, You don't know me, and any other psychological fiction book.
TV Shows: StarGate-SG1, Boston Legal, Stargate Atlantis, Early Edition(discontinued), Inuyasha, House, Rurourini Kenshin, Law and Order, X-Files(discontinued), and many other shows, I cant' come up right now.
Movies: The Rock, Equilibrium, The Core, The Day After Tomorrow, Matrix 123, . Short list, I know, but these are my classics that I would never mind watching. Doesnt' mean they are the best, just the most interesting.

Well, now that all the formal stuff is out of the way, lets see about fic related things.

Favorite ships are; Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Draco, Harry/Tonks, Sirius/Remus, Snape/OFC, Neville/Ginny, Ron/Luna, Harry/Luna.
Ships I despise; Harry/Hermione, Hermione/Draco, Harry/Snape, Hermione/Snape, Remus-Sirius-Voldemort/Harry (these are in case of how they are in the book. If Hermione and Snape decide to hook up in 20 years no problem. But reading about a 16 year old Hermione getting nooky in the RoR with a 41 year old Snape I think as gross. I have never been called close minded just yet, but if you disagree then go right ahead. If that is close mindedness then I must revise my moral on "close/narrowmindedness always being bad".

Stories I normally go for:
Super!Harry, Political!Harry, Azkaban!Harry, ManipulatemeandDie!Harry, Enlightend!Harry, sentient!Hogwarts, Post-War travel back in time fics, AU fics where Harry is still aware of having been or being "The-Boy-Who-Lived" I normally don't read any fics below 10,000 characters but do occasionally take a look when I am out of reading material in the 10,000 category.

Stories that put me off;
Stories that focus totally on a ship. There is a fine line between supporting a ship and obssesing on a fic. I am not going to draw that line though because I have no time to support it. HOWEVER, a 100,000 character fic about how adorable Ginny or Hermione is well, I wont' say anymore.
PWP fics: No not only smut fics but also love sick Harry, bash Dumbledore at every corner fics. Anything that keeps doing 1 and the same thing. The point of a story is a series of events, not 1 event repeated over and over and over. No change is no progression, no progression leads to stagnation, and stagnation leads to a cultural downfall. And I for one am hoping for the HP FF culture to exist for many years to come.

Harry Who? Zotter? - No no no, I have no problem with a small Mary Sue fic, sounds fun (no i'm not going to do it) but these are supposed to be HP fics, not "ok that guy over there is Harry Potter, now lets get back to my egotistical self" fics.

As you must have noticed by now, I will say what I think when I think it. You will notice that in my fics as new events can suddenly sneak up on you before you know it.

BTW: I love sarcasm, I will not overdo it, but I love fics with some good placed sarcasm here and there :D
