During an encounter at the auction Helena lands her blow against D'artagnan. He chooses to continue on and helps Porthos even after being seriously injured. The Musketeers must do everything they can to bring him back from the brink. *Season 2 Episode 8 SPOILERS* Don't read if you haven't watched, the show is way too awesome to spoil the plot before you have a chance to enjoy it.

McCoy glanced at Jim's leg and ground his teeth. "Where's the antivenin?" Nothing could happen fast enough. The venom had been in Jim's system for hours and damage had been done. McCoy was working on stopping the progress of the damage and getting Jim stabilized. This story compliment's Shoreleave's VENOM and is an addendum to what happened once McCoy and Kirk were rescued.

Set S1, directly after Episode 8, The Challenge. Each man has his demons. Facing them separates the brotherhood; overcoming them takes a united front.

In the filthy, overcrowded city of Paris, a miasma of sickness spreads its tendrils down every alley and into every home. The Musketeer garrison is detailed to the gruesome work of collecting the bodies piling up in streets and houses. Inevitably, the Inseparables must fall as well. For one who hears the siren call of oblivion, this could be the honorable farewell.

An it-could-have-happened-this-way segue into Episode Ten - Musketeers Don't Die Easily, with apologies to anyone who actually knows how to write a fencing match. And for Debbie, who said, "I'd love to see this continued..." as regards a conversation between Athos and d'Artagnan about Milady. The H/C in this one is emotional rather than physical.

Next to joining Starfleet Jim thinks that befriending the unwilling southern doctor has been the best decision he's ever made. Leonard McCoy is always putting him back together.

Set post Season 1. Musketeers are asked to sacrifice love, comfort, wealth, title…but the one thing they will not sacrifice is each other.

A quick inhalation of a spore on a planet sets off a mild allergic reaction in Kirk. It is McCoy's medication that collapses his lungs and leads to a deadly reaction. Bones' tone was gentle. "You're not fine. Think I don't know how much you're hurting right now? And in case you missed it, that's blood you're coughing up."

Set S1, between episodes 3, Commodities, and 4, Good Soldier. A voluntary mission turns d'Artagnan from a wayward recruit into a Musketeer in all but name. However, first things go very, very wrong. As they do. And the men are pushed to their limits to keep their brotherhood intact.

D'Artagnan runs into unexpected trouble on his way back from Gascony. Well, Athos may have expected it. And Treville. My attempt to explain the depth of the musketeers' brotherhood, especially when they think they may lose one of their own.

"You can't stay on Enterprise, kid. I've got to get you to Earth," McCoy said. No. Jim wasn't going back to Earth. There was nothing for him on Earth. There never had been. Nothing good happened on Earth. He wanted to stay. Kirk picks up an unknown virus on the Narada and is quarantined on Earth while McCoy tries frantically to find a cure.

Set post S1. It's an unwritten rule of the Musketeers not to delve too deeply into another man's past; it's simply enough to be one of the brotherhood. But when their Captain goes missing, the Musketeers realize the only way to save him is to learn what he's kept hidden for so long. And these men would willingly go through Hell to rescue the man who at one time saved them all.

Basically a little tag for Sleight Of Hand where I whump D'Artagnan a bit and the Musketeers offer some comfort. Ya know, brotherhood at its best.

Richard Grayson's parents have just died. What now? Where will he go? Well, being taken in as a ward of a mutlibillionare hadn't been on the list, but maybe, just maybe, it'll do. His life through the years at Wayne Manor.

A Captain is all things to all people. Jim is running on fumes, and it takes more than good luck and nerves of steel to be the leader the crew of the Enterprise need.
