Written for maroucia. Sandor Clagane is a wilding man who sees Sansa while hunting near Winterfell and decides to kidnap her and return North of the Wall with her as his wife. Knowing her father's bannermen hold to the old ways, Sansa decides to try to make the marriage by capture work even as her father and brothers set out to find her. Time is before Robert comes to Winterfell.

Fluff Inspired by the song Tom Sevenstrings sings in ASOS, pg. 309 "My featherbed is deep and soft, and there I'll lay you down, I'll dress you all in yellow silk, and on your head a crown. I'll wear a gown of golden leaves, and bind my hair with grass But you can be my forest love and me your forest lass." Sandor uses his lordship after the war to wed his little bird. No spoilers.

Prophecies of market charlatans might entertain idiots who have their heads full of dreams, but Sandor knows better. Love, lands, family. Why not as well tell him that he will soon sprout wings and fly into the sun, as longs as she is at it? Sandor gets told his destiny by an old crone, but struggles to accept it for truth. When Sansa Stark is taken from Kings Landing to marry Ser Loras, she is anticipating falling head over heels in love. But it was a child's fantasy, one which she had put aside when it became clear that the only person who could save her was Sansa Stark. She had not thought to see him again. Sandor does not panic during 2x09; he fights bravely, saves the Joffrey's life and stays in King's Landing. During the scene in the throne room after Joffrey has set Sansa aside for Margery it is the Hound's turn: he is rewarded with lands and a title and may ask for anything he desires. He asks for Sansa Stark.

Sansa Stark wants to thank Sandor Clegane for saving her from angry mob. Small thing, but this gives the whole War of Five Kings a new turn.
