![]() Author has written 12 stories for Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Naruto, and Code Lyoko. I have wished a bird would fly away, Have clapped my hands at him from the door The fault must partly have been in me. And of course there must be something wrong — a minor bird, by robert frost Hello, I'm Sartruce! Here I am, rearranging my profile for the thousandth time. I write mostly for Code Lyoko, though I once-upon-a-time wrote for Naruto and KHR too. I wouldn't mind trying dipping my pen in those universes again, but I'd have to do some catching up, since it's been a while since I've read either. Long story short, I foresee myself writing for Code Lyoko for a very long time. Not so bad a future, eh? This is the get-to-know-you section, so here goes my random facts: English is my second language. I love cheese. Vanilla cupcakes will be forever superior to chocolate cupcakes in my eyes. Dark chocolate is the best thing since sliced bread, though I'll never say never to fresh, toasted bread. Since I'm on this site, I think you can tell I like to write. I like reading, which is pretty much a given. I've never met a writer who doesn't like writing, actually. I'm a fan of inspirational quotes, weird, quotes, cool quotes, and quotes of any kind. I like certain poetry, which, I'm not sure how to define that is. I like Robert Frost and Shel Silverstein, but you'd have to threaten me before I'd read Emily Dickinson willingly. I like beat poetry, and Taylor Mali will be forever a star in my sky. For writing food, I like to drink hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and peppermint, eat cheese and crackers, and have a bag of candy open while I type. I usually listen to Taylor Swift, but any love song of the angsty variety is good by me. On the other hand, maybe if I stopped listening to sad love songs so much, I'd start writing happier stories. Which brings me to... Writing! I'm terrible at updating. I have around four or five stories I cycle through, and I'm not the kind of person who can put something on the backburner. Because then I tend to want to write whatever I've put on the backburner. So I've learned to live and let live, which means that an update happens around once ever three or four months. I also put out one-shots every once in a while, so as to get something fresh out. Wallowing in the same stories doesn't tend to help with the writing process, or so I've found out. I'm sorry to say that I don't reply to reviews. I'm finding myself with less time than ever, and I also happen to have a few other accounts on here and AO3. This is a secondary accounts of sorts, though I suppose you won't find me on my primary account much either. Such is the dilemma of a high school student. In no particular order, my ongoing stories are: In Vesania: college AU. I used to know where I was going with this, and then I sat down, took a good, long look at it, and realised that I didn't. I was talking to SeeMeInTheShadows the other day, and she helped me plot out where this story might go, so I think I'll be able to start working on it soon. I'm hoping to actually finish Venire first, but it'd be nice to get In Vesania off my hands. Venire: probably the one that has the most promise of being updated. Set in the future, with the gang all split apart. I'm very excited to be writing this! I'm in the middle of rewriting the second chapter, and once we're past the third chapter, I can set things in motion. for the life we lead: Jeremie/Aelita drabbles. Randomly updated, mostly on the backburner, but suggestions are very welcome! Phoenix Rising: set in Rome, AU, vampires. Hopefully better than Twilight. This one always takes so long because I'm so in love with the idea, and the whole story is so near and dear to my heart, that I struggle with getting it to where I want it to be. Future stories (with all very messy working titles): Good Night, Saigon: Vietnam War AU. The meaning of friendship when you're in a dirty trench, hoping against all hope that you make it home alive. Odd/Ulrich friendship. Sleep in Silence: Sissi has nightmares, of the XANA variety. And XANA has plans, of the world-domination variety. How to Summon a Girlfriend: Self-explanatory title, I think! This fic will be part of a series with SeeMeInTheShadows which will be part of a larger universe (Athame) created with SeeMeInTheShadows, KittyClaw, RenaYumi, oshnsoa shnedashn kiunepgli, and Soul Jelly. We'll be doing collabs, mini-series, sequels, etc to each other's fics, and it's going to be really fun. Fair Blood: I was thinking about the Athame universe and the Venire universe at the same time, and bad things happened. To be fair, I was actually attempting to figure out the third chapter of Venire, and then I got to thinking "what if I rewrote this for the millionth time?" I've never really liked the first chapter of Venire, so I thought I'd attempt rewriting it completely. It went off track though, and I'd feel odd if I completely changed Venire at this point (if only because I would feel like a bit of a review whore, since it really is that different, and I have no idea if anyone might like it or not). I've been writing around a thousand words a day at this point though. I'm envisioning short chapters of one to two thousand words, and it'll be around thirty chapters. I'm holding off on posting it until I've got it finished though. I feel like I'm beginning one of those authors who never finishes their stories, and that was never really my intention! | |||||||
