About me: I don't have a lot of things to say about myself.

I prefer writing AU instead of expanding canon, and English isn't my first language, so excuse me if my English is a bit..., plain.

It's been over a year since I started Dawn of Purgatory. I'll take this section to compare the characters written in this story towards the card version.

Characters are sorted based on their introductions. Currently still WIP and will keep updating. Information will change as I progress the story.

[Purgatory Knights]

Phobos

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Malice Force Dragon

Bio: Easily the oldest and largest member of the group. Phobos used to do odd jobs in order to make a living before settling down as a hunter. He doesn't talk much about his past, even when asked. He has been a hunter for five years now. His weapon of choice is a large thin sword and a trident, in which both are found at separate time. There seems to be something about the trident...

Comments: Other than the obvious that I didn't make him having four hands (or less demonic for that matter), only the trident and sword still remains.

Demios

Comparison: Purgatory Knights Leader, Demios Sword Dragon

Bio: After he encountered Phobos during one of his mission, Demios decides to tag along with Phobos. Demios himself shows an unusual speed for a white dragon, allowing him to suddenly ambush his opponents. He seems to hide his reason for taking a job as a hunter for some reason... He is also the official leader of Purgatory Team.

Comment: I kinda ignore his young version for this AU I'm writing.

Ray

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Mad Halberd Dragon

Bio: A member of the Halberd clan. Being part of the clan's founder family gets him a necessary respect from others who are either fellow recruits or younger trainees. Ray himself also tries to become the ideal image of a knight. However, his recent involvement with Phobos seems to make him rethink his goals a bit. He seems to be troubled with the current affairs of the clan.

Comments: I always wondered a bit about the Halberd clan in the anime. Then again, I guess I am thinking too much about it.

Anima

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Cruel Command

Bio: Having born without legs, Anima is quite isolated from society, using books as a way to cope with barely any interactions with the exception from his parents. He tries to use the request section within Dravagan as a way to get people to come and talk, with mostly varying degrees of success. It wasn't until Phobos came around that he is finally able to go out a bit more, with varying degrees of reactions from others. Prefer fighting using throwing weapons, Anima has quite the accuracy and rarely miss. Recently, he tries his hand in using the magic book he got.

Comments: Still thinking about the weapon he wields (in the card art obviously).

Cronus

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Death Sickle Dragon

Bio: Cronus used to quietly travel between cities, trying to find a safe place for himself. Constant encounters and distrust caused him unable to stay for a long time. It wasn't until Phobos found out about him being used as a space goat that Cronus finally stopped moving around and starts to interact with his fellow white dragons, but he refused to talk about his past, his 'powers', and remove his helmet. No one knows why, especially the last one. What he has revealed for now, is that he is unable to use magic. He is also the resident's blacksmith. He is a bit more comfortable in walking around without his helmet now.

Comments: No matter how many times I see it, that weapon is a scythe.

Selene

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Lunacy Wand Dragon

Bio: She, alongside her brother Sol, opens a clothing shop in Dravagan after the expedition. After getting involved with several incidents, she and Sol took residence alongside the group. As a way to defend herself, she is capable of using ice and healing magic.

Comments: Due to their similar art style, I made her and Sol (Clear Strings Dragon) siblings.

Aurnat

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Troubadour Dragon

Bio: First arrived in Dravagan as a troubadour for hire, Aurnat finds himself making acquaintance with Demios. He finds himself involved with keeping an eye towards the son of his father's friend after agreeing to participate on a mission. He now either helping his father or playing music in his spare time. Aurnat is quite skilled in fencing. He reveals himself to have a rich background but prefers traveling instead of making money.

Comments: I don't think writing him attacking using musical instrument is a good idea.

Cross

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Crossbow Dragon

Bio: Alongside Silver, he takes care as both the merchant and an advertisement for their wares. Cross is easily both the youngest member of the group and the shortest with only fifteen years old (seven and a half to dragons). According to Silver, Cross was found as a hatch-ling with a crossbow beside him, thus the name 'Cross'. He travels alongside Silver in hopes to find his parents. He is quite sensitive regarding his height. He also has a bad accuracy in using his crossbow but is capable of quick shooting. Rarely fights due to his age, but will still use his crossbow as a way to defend himself.

Comment: I may have made him too young...

Silver

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Silver Staff Dragon

Bio: Silver has been traveling the merchant caravan for a long time before he found Cross. He is acting as his both adopted father and guardian, although the members of the caravan themselves also help in taking care of the hatch-ling. Silver doesn't talk about his past as he finds them boring. He is staying with the group alongside Cross to find out what happened to their merchant group. He fights using a bo staff.

Dusk

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Knuckleduster Dragon

Bio: A former underground fighter. Dusk is a part of 'entertainment' where he fights against a bigger opponent that will forfeit the match for him. Despite this, Dusk also trains a lot. Apparently, he tends to spend time with fellow adversaries for a long time after each 'fight'. Dusk fights barehanded, he also tends to fight in nothing but pants, leaving his chest exposed. Reason is to avoid destroying too much of his shirts. His body build is similar to a human, which is a sign of human and dragon hybrid.

Comments: A former staged ring fighter.

Gerald

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Iron Gerd Dragon

Bio: Son of Dravagan's guild master. His choice of weapon is a ring, tied to a chain which he swings to his enemies. In other words, a hurled weapon.

Chester

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Chain Sword Dragon

Bio: A traveling alchemist. He stays alongside Purgatory Team during his arrival on Dravagan. Fights using a chain sword forged by Cronus.

Carter

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Blood Axe Dragon

Bio: A woodsman. He was found injured by Aurnat, Dusk, and Gerald during their mission. Uses an ax.

Aeolus

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Blackknife Dragon

Bio: Nothing is known about his past yet. Wields a knife. He has three pairs of thin wings. Oddly young, around thirty years or so.

Gladius

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Underblade Dragon

Bio: Known as 'Right Hand of Darkness'. Gladius fights using a two pronged dagger with a wide blade on the end side. He also possesses a various arsenal of throwing knives, laced with different kinds of poison. He is also quite agile.

Falux

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Curse Falx Dragon

Bio: First appeared as an assassin. He is also known as "Left Hand of Darkness". It appears that Gladius has dragged him to some sort of scheme...

Raster

Comparison: Purgatory Knights, Eraser Hand Dragon

Bio: A young dragon, around Cross's age. Has the ability to create portals to eject projectiles.

[Other Characters]

Galvanic

Comparison: Superarmor Dragon, Galvanic Feather Dragon

Bio: An archeologist who leads the expedition for searching the Super Armor. Unlike other red dragons, his main affinity is lightning instead of fire. Currently the wielder of Feather Armor.

Sol

Comparison: Clear Strings Dragon

Bio: Selene's brother, also the one that sews clothes.

Crimson

Comparison: Blue Sky Knights Leader, Crimson Arrow Dragon

Bio: Official Leader of the Blue Sky Knights. He and Galvanic are old friends.

Valon & Verion

Comparison: Superarmor Dragon, Gargantua Blade Dragon (Valon)

Bio: Former criminal that runs underground fighting ring and local slum gang. Currently living on the center tower on Dravagan. Valon consider Phobos a worthy opponent.
