Hi! Well, I suppose since you're looking at my profile, you'd like to know something about me. I'm 18, and am the daughter of a career Army officer. As such, I've lived in a multitude of places across the entire US as well as in Germany, though my family has now finally settled in Colorado. I speak German and Spanish, as well as English (duh!). I attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and I plan on majoring in Nuclear Engineering with a possible minor in Persian Farsi (though that is subject to change).

I am in no way a professional writer, nor do I aspire to do any writing of any sort that is not mandatory, with the exception of some fan fiction. In fact, I kind of despise writing, in school, at least. In my fan fiction, I hope to maintain correct grammar (with some slack allowed for artistic license), remain true to character, and perhaps come up with a good idea or two.

UPDATE: 24 Sept 2010

Okay, I'm sooo sorry to anyone who might have been waiting for me to update PP&C. Frankly, it's been a hectic three months, and a hectic six weeks since the culmination of my basic training. First of all, I'm taking an insane amount of credit hours for a freshman (apparently), at 20 hours. On top of that, I'm on the crew team, and then I also have my military duties. I've just started getting the hang of how things run, so I should have a bit more free time soon.

However, I'm currently hospitalized with pneumonia. Yeah, as in typing this with an IV in my hand. Not fun. So yeah, take sympathy on me or something.
UPDATE: 27 June 2010, 1:10 a.m.

I have to apologize to anyone following Pride, Pomp, and Circumstance. I worked my butt off, guys, I really did, trying to get the second chapter out. Unfortunately, I only have about 3,200 words typed out so far, and I'm anticipating adding at least another 2,000 words with what I have planned for the chapter. I was planning on staying up to get it finished, but I'm pooped, guys.

Now, ordinarily, this would not be a problem. However, I have a 7:35 flight to catch, as I fly out to New York. I report to West Point tomorrow for "R-Day" (Reception Day), and will sign the next twelve years of my life away to the Army. Tomorrow begins my Cadet Basic Training, and I will have next to no technology for the next seven weeks (Seriously, I only get three phone calls the entire time, and even that isn't guaranteed).

As I will be issued a laptop immediately upon the completion of CBT, I will try to finish writing the story during Reorganization Week, and hopefully I can get it posted by "A-Day" (Acceptance Day), 15 August 2010. I cannot promise anything, though, as the first Reorgy Week is said to be the worst week of the entire four years at West Point, and I have no idea what my duties and responsibilities at that time will be.

Anyhow, if you happened to come across this, please review!!! It would mean the world to me, and gives me some more incentive to make it through what will be the toughest part of my life to date.
