This women-centric story focuses on motherhood, the loss of moms and children, substitute moms, the desire for children, and contrasts good and bad moms, within the frame of successive Mother's Day weekends. Mary, Georgiana, Lady C, Lizzy, Richard's daughter (Lacey), and the Wickham children feature. The story includes a Mary-Richard romance after his failed marriage to Caroline.

Elizabeth Bennet, city/career girl, returns to her hometown after many years away and meets Fitzwilliam Darcy, country/farm boy. A Pride and Prejudice story, with the usual cast of characters - well, most of them. Somewhat canon-ish, but not completely, and with a few...twists. And turns. And flips and flops. When Mrs Bennet arrives home to discover her husband has passed away, she demands Mr Darcy marry her compromised daughter. As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

Mary is used to being the overlooked Bennet sister, but when Colonel Fitzwilliam accidentally enters her life, everything changes. As cousin to Mr Darcy, Col. OK, so I might have told an untruth. Once So Wholly Unconnected to Me was published (and the amazing response, Thank You) I just couldn't stop thinking about how Darcy and Lizzy met. So here we have the "Compromise" that started it all. I might publish a little vignette about Ramsgate in the future, or some might just get their wish – an entire story!

Elizabeth's one goal is to be the first bachelorette to get kicked off the show. Will Mr. Darcy grant her wish or somehow convince her to stay? What would have happened if the second meeting between Elizabeth and Mr. Wickham was altered by Elizabeth gaining information that was not colored by her prejudice against Mr. Darcy? How would Elizabeth have gotten that information? A plot twist and a deeper look into the original story- most particularly the servant world.

This short story is a "what if" variation. What if Georgiana elopes with Wickham, but comes to her senses before Gretna Green is reached. It is definitely low angst. While Elizabeth gets a bit of excellent advice from her friend Charlotte Collins while staying at the Hunsford Parsonage, it is the fact that the encounter with Colonel Fitzwilliam occurs a day early that changes the dynamics of her stay at the Parsonage.

What if Darcy resolved to walk after Elizabeth until she could be found? Would he be able to explain himself adequately, despite his lack of conversational skills? This short story begins the morning after the Hunsford proposal. (One Shot) 2015

Reading P&P, Mr Darcy's feelings seem rather acute, but do not get much attention. This story explores them from the moment just after his rejection, to beyond his actual marriage. The action follows P&P exactly, but some secondary characters, most notably Georgiana and Mrs Younge, push the boundaries of Miss Austen's description. The style of writing diverges from hers ever more.

Six awful months and Elizabeth Bennet loses her respectability, her home and her hopes for the future. What she doesn't count on is Mr. Darcy appearing to help. His ideas are unorthodox, but he might be the only chance she has. ***Rating Change with Chapter Ten*** COMPLETE

Elizabeth is slightly more perspicuous and thoughtful, and does not fall for Wickham's story, leading to an earlier resolution to a attachment to Darcy. Mrs. Gardiner also plays an expanded role.

This is an accompaniment to Manipulation. It explains the way Darcy compromised Lizzy into become his wife. WARNING - sexual situation, mention of sexual violence. While not the intention of the author - others believe this to be a reprehensible and cohesive situation. It is however consistent with the morals of the time period and does not reflect the opinion of the author.

I've read many a memory loss story. Those who know my work understand I like to give a unique prospective. Someone in the Bennet household has suffered most grievously and at such a time that is changes the direction of Miss Austen's work. In this case it is a most welcome event for some of the Bennet family while causing angst in others.

Darcy has been his typical haughty self, unfeeling in the face of Elizabeth's ruin. Elizabeth has been hardened by her degraded circumstances, but undaunted in spirit. Their meeting a year later brings something very different. Warning: completely irreverent, dark, smutty, with regency-era BDSM. One shot.

What if Georgiana had been at Netherfield? How would it change the story?

One week after the Netherfield Ball, Lizzy receives a letter from Georgiana Darcy informing her that Mr. Darcy is gravely ill and asking for her to come to London to be with him.

When Miss Lydia Bennet is attacked on the road to Meryton on the morning after the Netherfield Ball, suspicions arise on all fronts. Was it a local tradesman's son? Highwaymen? Are the militia men responsible, or will they be the ones to apprehend the murderer? And why has the Netherfield party run off to London the morning after their ball? Truly, a most untoward circumstance...

Darcy plays hero to a stranded Elizabeth.

The following story has characters acting very OOC - if you don't like that then don't read ahead! What if Mr. Darcy had already been 'at home' when Elizabeth and Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner pay an unexpected visit to Pemberley. A rather naughty version of what could have happened if Lizzie Bennet had spied Mr. Darcy in his bedchamber after just getting out of the bath.

She was going to jump. He was going to do the same. The only reason they hadn't yet was because they were too busy arguing about who was going to do it first.

It's a conversation between two strangers in a bar. Because of a breakup he didn't see coming and alcohol. Mainly because of alcohol. God bless the beautiful bartender. Modern one-shot.

What was going through Lizzy's mind in that eternal moment between her rejection of Darcy and his retreat? Heated, fervent hatred and perhaps something else? Based on the scene in the movie adaptation where Darcy confesses his love in the rain. Smut, character study. Canon-compliant and period-compliant.

This story takes place while Lizzie and her aunt and uncle are traveling together. Mr. Darcy invites them to spend the night at Pemberley, and Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner accept regardless of Lizzie's thoughts on the matter.

P&P Variation: "He could walk away. It was too fresh, after all, to think completely rationally in such a situation. He could walk away, but Elizabeth – his Elizabeth – was standing next to Wickham. He could not walk away." Disclaimer: Everything belongs to our dear Jane Austen, to whom we are all indebted for such lively characters and compelling stories.

Alterations to the best-laid plans occur, and romance ensues, when one P&P character gulps his dinner before the Meryton Assembly.

Another occasion where Elizabeth and Darcy dance together. A one shot: to which a second chapters has been added where the issue of Elizabeth's gown is given thorough consideration.

Darcy does not accompany Bingley to Netherfield. Therefore, he does not meet Elizabeth until his first trip to Rosings, resulting in some major changes to the way their relationship develops.

When Elizabeth and the Gardiners visit Pemberley a year early, a bond of friendship and sisterly love forms between Elizabeth and Georgiana. The repercussions of this meeting change completely the way Elizabeth and Darcy interact once they finally meet.

Elizabeth wakes up with amnesia at Pemberley, a year after marrying Mr. Darcy. Complete with outtake, "The Proposal".

Ms. Austen-P&P "...she found herself suddenly addressed by Mr. Darcy who took her so much by surprise in his application for her hand that, without knowing what she did, she accepted him." Let's willfully misunderstand her words shall we? Let's see where it takes us.
