Validar is not the carrier of the Fell bloodline, but his son still is. In a role reversal, Validar takes his child and flees Plegia, hoping to raise his child in peace. As his son struggles to grow up with the soul of Grima inside of him, everyone around them must make a choice: does securing the future for Ylisse mean destroying their friend before all is lost?
