A remake of the late 94Saturn's quintessential ShinjixAsuka story, it is part tribute and part experiment, taking the structure and plot of the original wacky shipping story while attempting to maintain series-true characterization.

Following Third Impact, Asuka Langley-Soryu is slowly coming to terms with her feelings for a certain boy - who has withdrawn so far into himself that she is the only thing still anchoring him to reality. The path to recovery will not be an easy one however, as an old threat rises anew.

Story that will focus on the Asu/Shi relationship, it will deviate from original canon after ep. 15 of NGE. It will also be a long process and they won't be shipped from very early on since they both have various issues/traumas to overcome, that being said if you enjoy build-ups you should stick around. In a way, Shinji did die when he attempted suicide. Because as far as the people around him were concerned, this was not Shinji Ikari they were talking to. It was someone who was more real than Shinji himself in a way. And perhaps that was what terrified them the most. But she wasn't going to run away. She was going to save him from himself.
