Author has written 1 story for Mythology. Hello! I'm Cinnamon Bird. I'm new to writing, and certainly new to writing fanfics, but I hope you guys like this stuff! I'm currently working on a world-creating project, where I come up with my own fantasy world, make up a backstory for it, and write stories about it! Dantalion is the name of the country. It's split into 9 regions, Pink, Purple, Indigo, Blue, Teal, Green, Lime, Yellow, and Orange. Each region is ruled by a Hei-Bai, who is picked by the Final Hei-Bai. The ruler changes every three years. The inhabitants of Dantalion are called daeva, and are essentially cats/foxes with horns and small wings. They're a little over a foot in length, excluding the tail, so they're a bit bigger than the average housecat. They can't fly with their wings, and their horns aren't really used for anything. There are five main wing types, chibi!feathered, feathered, demon, merfolk, and faerie. Daeva typically have fairly vibrant colors (although this can vary based on the regions), and the more colors a daeva has, the higher it is on the social ladder (horn size and wing type also make a difference). Females typically have smaller horns, males bigger horns. Females also have curlier fur. One minor detail is that some daeva are capable of small amounts of magic. They typically can't do telekinesis, but they can create a small, tangible glob of energy. Most magic-using daeva are taught how to use it to kill and are sent off to war, so it's rare to meet a daeva that can use magic and isn't missing a leg or something. Blue and Green have the biggest population of magic-using daeva, but even then they aren't common. Each region has a different culture! Pink is considered the business center of Dantalion. They manage the mail system (mail is very important to daeva), as well as ensuring exports go smoothly. Daeva from Pink typically have more muted colors, sometimes even full gray-scale. They wear ties, and sometimes even suits when they're around daeva from other regions. Pink daeva are famous for looking nearly identical from one another, aside from their hair-styles, which are usually extravagant. Purple is where most Hei-Bai live when they aren't managing a region. It's the home of the Final Hei-Bai, who has a tendency towards privacy, so no one knows much about him or his region. Daeva from Purple are perfect in every way! They are often called 'the models of Dantalion' because of this. Their color scheme is very varied, but they always manage to look good. Indigo is in a bit of a slump. They're running low on plasma (the nations main fuel source, comes from sea-water), so they've been stealing it from Blue. It hasn't made them any friends, though. Most daeva in Indigo aren't doing very well, and the rich are uncertain about their own funds. Daeva from Indigo have fairly plain colors, but they're neat freaks about clothes. You'll never see an Indigo daeva with a stain on their shirt! Recently, because of the inflation in their economy, Indigo daeva have been taking up jobs as reporters, or voso, so they can try to make money from other regions. The success of this is debatable... Blue has a very neat geography, with the most streams, rivers, and waterways in general of any region! The water comes down from underground streams in mountains, that flow upwards and out of the mountain ranges. Because of this, they have a very high supply of plasma, so Blue is considered one of the best places to live. Daeva from blue have colors that match the scenery, with shades of blues and grays. Teal has the most coastline of any region, so fishing is their main source of income. The parts of the region that aren't next to the ocean are very flat, with the rare small hill. Daeva from Teal are considered to be slightly primitive compared to the other regions, but this is because daeva have an inherent fear of water and hearing about boats is scary. Teal daeva have long, shaggy fur and are surprisingly hospitable to other daeva. Green is the only region with more that five forests. In fact, most of Green is forest! They have one large mountain, and the rest is covered in trees. They are the only region able to commercially grow plants, but because of their small population, they have a limited workforce to pick and package the food. This is the only reason they aren't dominating the market. Daeva from Green have a surprisingly strong capability with magic, so a lot of their population is off at war. |
