My Olde Old Profile ~ By CMG13

Hi, I'm CMG13.

I'm busy actually writing stories, so instead of spending a lot of time making a decent profile, I'll just leave this crappy one until I have time to make a cool one.

COMING SOON...

The New,Improved, andReally Cool(and actually entertaining) Profile ~ By CMG13

Thanks a lot for actually checking this! I can't believe people would want to know about me...

The New, Improved, and Really Cool (and actually entertaining) Profile ~ By CMG13

Fine, ifyou don't find itentertaining, sue me. I write stories, not profiles!

Edit- I just discovered that flames are pointless reviews that send spam and are not constructive. Great; now I have to change my catchprase: "Constructive Critisism is good for the soul." 'Flames are good for the soul' sounded better. Too bad it dosn't make sense. (You'll get what I mean by the end of this)

STUFF ABOUT HOW I WRITE: (skip downto my wonderful glossary if you don't care)

Hi I'm CMG13!

CMG= my initials 13= my lucky number

I tried to pick a generic pen-name so that it would fit no matter where I used it. I like to write fics for lots of different shows, movies and books, so I don't name myself something just based on a certain show. I'll admit, this is a guilty pleasure for me, because I try to challenge myself to come up with characters and universes of my own, so this is just like recreational writing.

Stuff I like writing/reading about: Harry Potter, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, As Told By Ginger, American Dragon: Jake Long, Spiderman, and Pirates of the Caribbean (I actually don't know if they have a section for that).

I'm obsessed with writing stuff that's accurate to what would be made by the original creators and owners of the stuff I borrow, and I think keeping everyone in character is super important, at least to the point that it's not ridiculously out of character. A really good writer can show you a new side of the character, and still keep them essentially in character. I try to do that, but it's tricky.

I'm anti-fluff. I do love a good Romance, but I think fluff is cheesy. Sometimes it's so over the top I want to piss myself. You can get away with it on TV and in movies, not in writing. Theemotional stuff is corny on the screen, but it can be pulled off on the page. It's funny how that flipof emotional stuff, physical stuff, the screen, and the page, works like an opposite.

I hate when people write about a kiss and go into detail about all the senses, and make it conrnball by using words like passionate and deep, or gentle and soft. I feel like barfing when they start talking about the tongue-action. That stuff is better seen on the screen, then written in words on a page. You might think I'm immature, but I think it's cuz i'm soooo mature that I realize theres more to relationships then kissing. The fluffs that I actually do end up liking somehow, usually don't have a kiss.

"Anonymous reviews, as the name implies, are from individuals who either do not have an site account or are too lazy to login in."- ff.net (underline is mine). The underline says it all. When I review, I'm too lazy to "login in" (one of ff.net's many typos), so I usually just use the anonymous name of "Person" or sometimes "CMG13" to give a review. When I'm reading and reviewing, I'm in Reader Mode. When I'm logged in, I'm in Writer Mode.

AGLOSSARY For New Fanfiction People (I add new words as I learn new stuff; please let me know if a definition is wrong)

I wish I had something like this when I started out. There's still some stuff that confuses me. I figured that you have to figure these things out somewhere, so here it is. Enjoy.

A/N- Authors Note, pretty self-explanatory: a note the author adds in to comment on their story. just read a story and you'll totally know what one is.

Chappie/Chap-Chapter

Cliffie- Cliffhanger, when the end of the chapter is a hook and you need to see what happens next but you have to wait forever for the next chapter to come. I HATE THEM. Everyone does; except for the writer of course...

Eppie- episode

Fangirls- Girl writers that are fans of some guy in the story that's usually supposed to be hot or sexy in some way or another. I have yet to hear of fanboys.

Fic- A Fan Fiction Story.

Ficlet- mini fic, with song lyrics

Flames- harsh reviews, not constructive at all, but purposely hurtful. and with spam.

Mary-Sue/Gary-Sue-OC that is so perfect it's crappy.Usually makes a lame and boring character.

OC- Original Character. A new character added to the universe of the movie/book/TV showthat was created by the writer

OOCness- out of character-ness, when one of the already existing characters in the universe acts differently in the fan fiction then they would by means of how their true creators and owners developed them. (I know this explanation sucks, but you'll understand 'out of character' if you ever read a really bad fic, which unfortunately is bound to happen sooner or later...)

R&R- Read and Review.

Ship-Relationship. Usually in summaries they have signs for certain couples. (Examples: in HP- H/G=Harry and Ginny, R/Hr=Ron and Hermione, in DP- DxS or DS=Danny and Sam, in Avatar- Kataang= Katara and Aaang, Zutara= Zuko and Katara)

Slash- A same sex pairing in the story.

StuffYou find in Every DamnSummary- (really annoying)-

Summaries where all people do is talk about how they suck at summaries. I noticed that already, you didn't need to say so

Summaries that say 'No Flames' . They're how you improve your writing. Flames are good for the soul. Edit- Constructive Critisism is good for the soul.

Summaries that say 'R&R' AND 'No Flames'. It's funny how sometimes they turn out to be really bad fics. Then they either have a bunch of flames, or no reviews!

Summaries that say, 'It's better than it sounds.' I've heard this so much, it'slike the slightly lessannoying cousin of the 'I suck at summaries' summary.

the rare summary that just tells what the story's about; I'm happy to say that you're bound to find this too, althoughnot nearly asoften as the otherretarded ones listed above.

STUFF THAT I REALLY APPRECIATE:

I love Author's Notes, they make stories more interesting, like watching a DVD with the commentary

Flames, They're good for the soul (I know I say that too much) and criticism makes you better bla bla bla, plus it shows that people were actually paying attention to what you wrote. I find that good for my self esteem.(and soul :) Edit- I meant constructive critisism

This writer called Sapphire Warg or Werg or something like that. Her Avatar epidsode parodies are so hilarious... whoever knows the show really needs to read them; it's just another one of those things that are good for the soul! Edit- her profile taught me what a flame actually is. Now I feel stupid, and enlightened at the same time!

A good story (duh)

oh, and Potter Puppet Pals = Win

THANK YOU for reading this.

I'm sorry if your unsatisfied and feel like you've wasted part of your life

On the bright side...

Now when you open this up, you'll actually find out stuff about me and what I think...

Wait a minute...Since when did I think?
