Author has written 6 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, Harry Potter, and Atelier Rorona. Updated: 02/27/2007 I am currently working on revising my original story "A Hot Day in New London." This is my main goal for the year, though it might also end up as my main goal for next year. I basically already had the chapters and ending planned out and partially written when I stopped writing earlier, so once I get through revising old chapters, it hopefully won't take too long to start posting new material again. I am also working on other fics on the side and will be releasing them when I feel they are ready. Any questions or requests to use some of my original characters that I'll be writing can be sent to my email or by private messages (I have the feature enabled). I'll probably be more than happy that someone would want to borrow a character of mine for their story. Of course, I will not be declaring any deadlines for my stories because I am not a punctual person (just a warning). Specifically on Chapter 6 of A Hot Day in New London... I'm also having some difficulty revising chapters 6 and 7 of this story (for obvious purposes if anyone has read it before) so please be patient with me. I have both of the chapters almost completed but my workload in college is bogging me down right now. In all actuality, I had numerous extra scenes I wanted to include in these chapters when revising and after months of painful attempts of revising the old chapters and a total standoff with the old material, I finally decided to scrap it! Yes, that's right. Sometime in midDecember, I began to swear madly at those old chapters. However, through all the frustration and misery those chapters put me through, I realized the most wonderful aspect of writing. I can just start anew once more. As you can probably imagine, this is not an easy task. Even with all my original notes, the original chapters (that will no longer serve as a template though still symbolize much of the original idea I had for the story), and my greatly improved vision for these chapters, I can still only write so fast. I am attempting to keep the quality of the story up, and this has been a trying journey. I never realized how hard it is to write three different personalities interacting all at the same time! Not only that, but it seems harder these days, probably due to the fact that I have less time to contemplate these things. Also, now that I think about it, chapter 6 will probably be my biggest chapter yet, what with all the new material and added interactions and vastly improved everything. However, I swear to everyone, this story will one day be completed and I, for one, cannot wait for that glorious moment. I am also working on a new series called Cold Cases, for Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. I plan on making multiple sequential stories and hopefully become a bit more reliable in my writing. I also have chapter 2 of this story mostly ready for posting. However, there are a few screws that need to be tweaked a bit more before it meets my satisfaction. I apologize for the long wait. Again, my workload has paralyzed my time this semester. I am also quite determined to finish the new chapter 6 for my Hot Day story before finishing that second chapter so this one will just have to wait in line. However, I just LOVE the ideas I have laid out for this series. I will admit now that it is going to be a H/L series mostly Lestrade-ccentric, but the relationship between Holmes and Lestrade will take a LONG time to develop. Yes, in chapter one I set them up to enter a 'relationship' status, however, this relationship will progress very believably and I assure you all that it will take a LONG time for their relationship to develop to the point that most people are actually interested in. Lastly, each of these stories are going to have a central theme to them, except for a select few (in which the reasons why I wouldn't have one is obvious). The theme I have in mind for The Cold Case of Anne Peterson is especially poignant and I imagine it has already become to me, the greatest reason to ever write a story. I hope everyone will be able to find some kind of connection to themselves within this story at some point in it or another. 06/13/2007: Regarding my newer story, Of the Remaining, the second chapter will not be posted for a very long time. However, the second chapter will be a very deep, involving, LONG chapter, and is basically the bulk of the story. Please be patient as it may take a long time to fully write out, even with my hoard of notes backing me and especially since I have my other two projects on the table. I suppose if you clicked on my profile, you wanted to know a smidgen about me. That can be done. I have a rule about not telling much personal information, but I'm sure you all understand that. I have several favorite books, the Artemis Fowl and Eragon series ranking at the top. I used to be a Harry Potter fan, but the recent atrocious movies released were so awful, both in acting and script, that I could not bear to even look at the books anymore. A little peice of my soul died when I saw The Prisoner of Azkaban in theaters... Yet again, another favorite series has been obliterated for me, all because of some poorly played marketing scheme. I also enjoy mystery and sci-fiction books, and books that have riddles included in them (I like thinking. What can I say?), but occasionally a good fantasy book will cross my path and win me over. My favorite anime series include Fullmetal Alchemist, Escaflowne (the series NOT the movie), Tenchi Muyo (OVA and Universe), Kikaider, Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, and Ghost in a Shell. I highly recommend buying the manga or watching Ouran High School Host Club (OHSHC) on youtube (or some other source). This is a great romantic comedy that will ensnare the attention of even those who aren't into romances. The main character is so...normal, and un-anime-female-like that it is a refreshing contrast to the usual eh... well, I won't give my opinions of others... My favorite anime movies are Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Tenchi Muyo in Love (not necessarily in that order). I can safely say that I will probably never stop loving anime, but I have noticed a distinct decrease in the runtime of japanese anime in American in favor of other poorly drawn and thought out cartoons. =/ Soon I may have to buy all my favorite series. Last, but not least, let me applaud the creativity of my peers. Kryo2000 is a great author and his story, Purity and Corruption, is one of my favorite stories of all time (in the Tenchi Muyo section). It is one of the ONLY alternate universe story I have ever liked (had to slightly alter that now that I've found another I like), and the writing has blown me away ever chapter. After two long years of waiting, he's finally going to finish it by Christmas...I'm so...joyful! He has my greatest respect! Bizmarck, the author of Mind and Spirit (Princess Mononoke) also is a great writer of a great story. I thoroughly enjoyed it, from start to finish (I distinctly remember the introduction of one of the characters making me grin like a kid with candy). Other than all of that, I'm merely an overworked person who is trying to find time to write her own stories. :)Well, now you know all about me so I hope you enjoy my stories. Believe it or not, but I tried to add myself to my favorite authors list and of course, fanfiction.net stopped me. I suppose they won't let authors be their own fans hehe. :) I have recently performed a study to see if Bad Authors really do get More Reviews (a strange happenstance we've noticed). The Results: Yes they do. 75.0 percent of people who reviewed thought the bad author story was a joke 87.5 percent of the people who reviewed flamed the bad author 12.5 percent of the people who reviewed realized the bad author was actually an experimental writing piece 62.5 percent of the people who reviewed attempted to correct the bad author 37.5 percent of the people who reviewed either felt the bad author was a disgrace or felt sorry that the bad author existed 25.0 percent of the people who reviewed thought the idea, at the very least, was a good idea for a story. 73.28 percent of the people dared to read chapter 2, even though they saw how the bad author had written chapter 1 60.23 percent of the people who saw the story also looked at the bad author's profile. The bad author has an 8.39 percent review rate thus far. These results are completely true. No names are being given to keep the experiment from being contaminated. More statistical results will be published soon. My own quote: "Give me a mess and I will bring it to life." |
