Hi, I'm Fanfiction Renaissance and I joined the site because I love fanfiction. The reason for my name is that recently I have had more and more trouble finding quality fanfiction being written. Whether its through a lack of time or authors can no longer generate unique ideas, I hope to motivate other authors to once again start writing amazing works. Stories that bring new and revolutionary ideas like Methods of Rationality to romance that really does have twists like Masters of Genjutsu all the way to writing with original thoughts and amazing OCs like Dauntless are all stories that are rare gems to find. I will try to re-inspire such works by having my own story that will be full of a whole list of challenges to get more people writing again. If anyone has any books, anime, manga, shows, movies, or anything else that you would like me to read to try generating ideas please let me know and I will try and do my best. Note that I will have to finish a series first and I will have college so it might take me up to two weeks for me to finish any ideas.

So, finally about myself. I am 18, just starting off college this year and like the color purple for pride. I am male, single(but not interested since there is a girl I'm waiting to graduate before we can be a couple), and am interested in psychology, math, engineering, and quantum physics. I do not believe gravity is truly a force generated by attraction from mass otherwise I would become increasingly worried about black holes and The Big Crunch theory. If I do ever happen to write a harem fic then please keep in mind that harems are still employed in this day and age and to understand the circumstances behind it. Not all of them I can guarantee are going to be happy because of it. Keep in mind that people who have arranged marriages actually have a lower rate of divorce and are generally happier than those that aren't arranged. No matter what anyone says I will not write slash. While I say that keep in mind that I have nothing against homosexuals, but I am one of those people who would rather not see them making out in public.

My favorite fanfiction subjects are: Naruto, Harry Potter, Devil May Cry, Star Gate, and Star Wars.

My favorite characters are: All the Akatsuki(except Orochimaru and Sasuke's team who really hasn't joined since he never got a ring), Madara, Kira B., Shikamaru, Hanzo, Samui, Shino, Gaara, Temari, Karui, Neji, Tenten, Lee, Second Mizukage, Second Hokage, Second Tsuchikage, Six Path Sage, and then Naruto(whose ranking only changes in fanfiction if he is smart and also dumps the fangirl) in that order. I hate Sakura in Naruto since she whines about being weak, but doesn't train and then because she is close to Naruto she gets the apprenticeship with Tsunade for ok chakra control(considering Tsunade has a whole village to choose from and there are better choices like Hinata, Neji(yes Neji), Tenten, and even the many chuunin, jonin, and Anbu since you are never to young to learn and train. I can understand Sasuke's desires for revenge, but am upset how he turned out after he killed Itachi(Itachi also only let him win even after going blind and contracting a fatal disease which was probably his real cause of death). While Kakashi and Jiraiya are capable they are terrible teachers so they aren't exactly my favorites. I think Shikamaru along with Samui, Kankuro, Shino, Hanzo, Sasori, Shiho, and Tenten were the only rational characters in the story; sadly Samui was caught by a Deus Ex Machina when she exploited a perfectly logical weakness.

My favorite characters in Harry Potter are: LUNA LOVEGOOD, Fred and George(its too cruel to separate them), Padma, Parvati(Padma's a Ravenclaw), Neville, Bill, Charlie, Fleur(she has such nasty in laws when she just wants to help(reread DH)), Mad-Eye Moody, Sirius Black(when he's sane and not prejudiced), Flitwick,Sprout, Snape(when he's not a bastard), Su Li Susan Bones Cho Chang Cedric Diggory Daphne Greengrass(Presumably since they don't give them much weight in the books, but are my favorites in fanfics), Hagrid(he's kind just a little misguided), Filch(dude's got dedication to still be trying to learn magic after 50 some years even though he's a squib and to try and clean a whole castle and not want help from house elves is just insane to try), Seamus Finnegan(dude tries mastering turning water to wine his first year and keeps trying after blowing himself up), Dobby(its hard to hate him), Tonks(I wish I could change my features around), Bellatrix(evil, sadistic, and heartless, but is loyal to a fault), and finally Harry(and only in fanfiction when he's not a complete idiot or asshole) in that order.

I have to admit that I absolutely hate Hermione, Ron, and Ginny. Hermione believe it or not is still a bossy know it all in except maybe DH. Don't believe me reread the books and pay attention to every interaction they have and she either commandeers Harry's homework when he doesn't need help or retracts it when he does. She is always telling Harry what he should or shouldn't do and treats him as an idiot if he truly believes there is something important going on. She steals two of Harry's most precious presents and from his background that should hurt a lot. She pushes him to do things he really doesn't want to do(DA he actually didn't want to teach) and goes behind his back(dating Ron, taking his broom, informing Dumbledore about trying Harry investigating Malfoy). She is also jealous when he starts to do better(HBP and condescending him for being good on a broom "Honestly, all you boys think about is Quidditch" while not an exact quote is the general gist of what she says). Hermione also has a terrible superiority complex if you see how she treats others such as "Loony Lovegood"(she actually calls her that to her face and insults her father's magazine by saying it was written by a crackpot in OOP) and Lavender Brown(calls her a slut, whore, etc. because she's jealous she's going out with Ron).

Ron well, he's Ron and has no manners, no concept of privacy, no self-esteem(it took him thinking he had taken the luck potion to think he even had a chance at Quidditch), has an inferiority complex, and is a jealous bigot that has no loyalty(he is often seen declaring Harry as not his friend throughout the books only to change his mind later). His jealousy nearly got Harry killed(Who the hell doesn't warn someone about fucking dragons that it takes 20 wizards to knock out one when it's restrained?) and abandoned him in the middle of a fucking war! So yeah I think he's not such a great person and don't think he should have been awarded 50 points for the best game of chess Hogwarts has ever seen(seeing as you have had people like Tom Riddle and Dumbledore in Hogwarts and they are genii).

Ginny is a character that I absolutely loath. She is mediocre in classes as far as can be seen, has a terrible temper that she needs anger management for, is a total fangirl(elbow meet butter), and worst of all she is a slut. She goes out with several guys within the books including: Michael Corner, Dean Thomas, Neville Longbottom, Zacharias Smith, and I think one of the Slytherins of which she dated four of before Harry in a span of nine months meaning on average she only dated for only close to two months each. She also only dated them to make Harry jealous(specifically Dean Thomas who was on the Quidditch team). It is also completely plausible that she gave him love potions(he didn't really care about her until he saw her with Dean Thomas and then he goes all ape shit crazy and it has been shown that some of the girls were actually trying to feed him love potions through valentine's which Ron was the victim of). The author of Dimension Hopping for Beginners put it best when they said that Ginny would date Crabbe or Goyle or both if it would make Harry Potter jealous. Also I would like to mention that technically Ginny Weasley is a criminal in the fact that she broke the law Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery by practicing her Bat Bogey Hex outside of school. She has been reported by Fred and George to have stolen her mothers wand on several occasions, and joined in the DA, and helped break into the Department of Mysteries because she had a crush. Did I mention I really hate Ginny. Also in my defense no sane parent would let their child be named Liliy Luna Potter, Albus Severus Potter, or James Sirius Potter or anything else that ridiculous. Also in the end Harry lived in the Muggle world and broke the Improper Use of Magic by using a confundus to get a driver's license who as far as can be seen has no job. Compare that to Neville who is the Headmaster and you wonder if Neville should have been the chosen one.
