"The singular commonality between the greatest epics of the ancient world and the most simplistic children's storybooks," she muses. "It is something I have yet to come across in my own story."

Her voice is well-worn and her accent undoubtedly foreign--and yet it exudes a strange familiarity that one cannot quite place. He smiles wide in anticipation as she answers:
