CellAge is a dynamic startup based in Edinburgh whose goal is to extend human healthspan as well as decrease the incidence of age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's, cancer, osteoporosis or cardiovascular diseases. Senescent cells aging is working on creating a gene therapy that will target aged (senescent) cells in order to help people live healthier lives. Removing senescent cells in mice has been proved to be an effective way of delaying the onset of age-related diseases thus extending their healthspan and lifespan.
