Author has written 9 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Doctor Who. Hi! If you're my friend you can call me Shadow :-) I'm a (Protestant? I don't really like all the labels, to be honest) Christian, and I share most of those views that might be considered old fashioned (ie Pro-life). I also don't read or write slash. However, I'm a teenager in a more liberal town, so I tend to be able to understand both sides more equally. ~S~ I'm intending to write a sort of romantic story about my OC Calaerwen and Eluréd the brother of Elwing, set in the Fourth Age. But it'll take a very long while for me to finish it as a draft, and I'll only publish it when I'm done. Needless to say, it'll be a long time in coming. ~S~ If you're reading someone's story, original or not, it's been given long deliberation. The characters have been lovingly crafted, their voices learned. Research has been done on the physics, perhaps, or psychology, or the effects of obscure poisons. Precious minutes have been taken out of busy schedules to bring you something beautiful, polished to a smooth finish. They may have overcome self deprecation to share a piece of themselves with you. The pen is mightier than the sword, so how much more will the product of the pen be worth than careless judgements? Flames can be the worst thing that happens to a new writer, turning a sensitive but brilliant person from the path they could have taken. If you have criticisms, be kind about them, and notice the good too if you can. If you don't condone flames, post this on your profile ~S~ Imagine a person. This person would smile as soon as talk, would laugh even when the joke isn't funny. But you don't really know them. You don't know how they torment themselves because you have always taken the happiness they gave without looking back. There are lots of people out there who have never been enough in their minds. Not good looking enough, not smart enough, not athletic enough, not popular enough, no matter how hard they try. Because even though there are lots of things I hate in this world, what I hate most is myself. Post this on your profile if you're tired of being the content doormat, if you wish that the people that you see everyday could truly see you for once. ~S~ All the stories I have up now are super old and immature, but you can read them... If you want... PM the phrase PrincessAndromedaTonks to me and I'll give you something. :) | |||||||
