 Massive Doctor Who (created by BBC), Sonic the Hedgehog (created by SEGA), and Star Wars (created by Lucasarts) geek here, and I'm proud of it! Well... at least when I'm sitting in front of a screen with my identity hidden from everyone else. But I'm sure you can guess what most of my fanfics are about. Fanfic Guide - Similar to an episode guide, except you read these 'episodes'. The fanfics listed below all follow the same continuity, like they're one big story split into parts, so here's so you know what one comes before/after which (Blast - my avatar's in the way of the first entry of the list!). - Sonic's High School Years 1-5 (Sonic the Hedgehog) Story Arcs - As the fanfics are one big story, here's a few of the plots that may be covered in more than one fic. (And why wont 'Story Arcs' underline?!) Sonic's High School Years: Ah... yes... bit of a gamble, this one. Sonic the Hedgehog goes to high school before and early into his time of being the hero of Mobius. Not that anyone gets any smarter. (SHSY started off as a cartoon comic that I drew. More a comedy series that proper Sonic the Hedgehog stuff - you've been warned - but it introduces some fan characters and such that appear in later fanfics. You can just feel my confidence burning, can't you? Yep. Burning down, that is.). Remnants of the Cybermen: The Eleventh Doctor learns that more Cybus Cybermen have escaped the void than he first suspected. Groups have ended up in many different times and places all over the universe. It is unknown how many Cybermen actually escaped the void, but the Doctor knows they must be hunted down and stopped. (The Cybus Cybermen are used as opposed to the original Cybermen to allow the original Cybermen to be reintroduced in the official Doctor Who series). The Dark Emerald: Sonic and friends discover the existance of another Chaos Emerald unlike the other seven. And this Emerald has a goal: destruction. It is a difficult task, trying to defeat death in the shape of an Emerald. Canon and Continuity - Yes, I am aware that fanfics are not actually canon to the original series written about, but I like to try and make both canon and fanon materials fit in with each other. Below lays down the case of continuity with my fics. Doctor Who: Canon or not, the Doctor Who fics follow the exact continuity of the official series and even some brought up in books and games. The story takes place some time after the finale of Series 5 of the revived series, featuring the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams (or Rory Pond), and maybe even some old enemies... and some old new enemies. (Chances are, though, that it will contradict your own continuity and you will choose not to accept it, but not that I'd expect otherwise. I'm guitly of that myself. We all have our own ideas, ay?) Star Wars: Like the Doctor Who fics, the Star Wars fics follow the same continuity as the official series and the expanded universe. It could range from the Old Republic to after the Empire's era, possibly even further. (Actually, heck, how useless is that, having to explain what continuity Star Wars and Doctor Who fics follow? Oh well - at least you know what to expect of the main ideas) Sonic the Hedgehog: This is different. There are many different Sonicverses even in official terms, so the one I use is my own continuity made up of elements from a number of the official continuities. Sonic fights Dr. Eggman as opposed to Dr. Robotnik, although Eggman does refer to himself as Robotnik sometimes; Manic and Sonia are still Sonic's sibilings; Angel Island is a big island like in Sonic 3 instead of small like in DX; Eggman uses roboticizers; Mobius is more dominated by animals than humans; similar areas to the adventure fields in DX, Station Square and Mystic Ruins, are featured but not named like in DX; and Queen Aleena is still missing - but for some unknown reason, not the rise of Robotnik. There's also some of my own continuity but it is all (hopefully) explained in the fanfics. But there's my own Sonicverse. Sonic Fan Characters - There are more than are listed here, but this list only deals with those with major appearances. You don't want me to list all of them; you'd never get to the bottom of the page! They were all made up by me in my drawings at first and I decided to use them further here. Tara the Hedghog - Note: Tara is not a remake of the unused character Tiara, despite their similarities. It's all just a coincidence, really. Other I'm Scottish so it's "Colour" with a 'U' in there, not "Color", and "Realise" with an 'S', not a 'Z' like "Realize" to name but a few. So get used to British spelling if you haven't already. The only acception is "Roboticize" - I use a 'Z' in there only because it's not actually a real word. Here's the meaning of some abreviations used: Trivia sections found at the end of my fanfics are influenced by RYCloud92, and are laid out like Doctor Who wiki pages. They explain references and some ideas in further detail. |
