Author has written 2 stories for Harvest Moon, and Legend of Zelda. Hey, look. News! So it's definitely been a while, and I just came back to see how things have changed around here. It's a bit surprising, to say the least. Avatars, polls, people who I remember apparently not being here anymore or failing to acknowledge that I exist. It's also nice to see a reduced amount of HTML use. That also means I have to go through and edit all of my posts again. Because I absolutely adore the fact that my entire page is fucked up. But enough of that. You're here for what I write, not me. Hylian Legends is NOT discontinued. I AM, however, currently in college and my free time has either been devoted to playing the somewhat new Wii and writing something which I've been planning for months and has loads of content waiting to be exposed. But every single time I go back to Hylian Legends, I find myself stuck. I've already found plot holes and point contradictions, failing to keep up certain character habits and going out of character all together, all because everything is so unorganized. I've fallen below my own standards. Let me say this now: Hylian Legends WILL be going down, and then brought back again, since my writing has only improved due to an increased width in diction and experience in storytelling. (I think that B I got in English 103 and the A in Eng 101 should equate to something. Plus connotation vs. denotation and whatnot, and improvement results.) Characters may be renamed, people and things may be removed, and chapters will be less rushed and hopefully free of the many overlooked spelling and grammatical errors. As you may have realized, Kaizen-Yokoshima is my pen name, real life nickname, and most likely going to be what I refer to myself for the next several years. if not more. Stats: Age as of 7/15/07: 18 Real name: None of your damned business Favorite things: Books: Orphanage, HALO: (All four: Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx), Digital Fortress, Deception Point. Stories of My Creation: Here's some longer summaries of some of the things I've written, just in case you're too lazy to read a dictionary of a book (Cough, Hylian Legends). It's a Wonderful Life, Don't Push Your Luck: The first story I ever posted on fanfiction, or online for that matter. Involving the characters Jack, Nami, Celia, and Muffy of Forget-Me-Not Valley and some quirky little s that goes on down there. Unfortunately, I haven't had any inspiration for this little bundle of joy of mine since the end of April in '06, and it doesn't look like I'll be getting any anytime soon. In the future (far, far in the future), I do plan to get back around to it, and most likely start the whole thing over, seeing as how my writing has improved near exponentially since then, thanks in part to my friends and teachers. It was the first story that starred Kage and Kyou, but I do feel as if things keep changing vastly with their attitudes, sans the way that they act towards each other :) Hylian Legends: My current focus and what I feel is turning out to be quite grand, I've developed an incredibly expansive web of knowledge and plot twists that I'm aching to get to later in the plot, as I plan for as many chapters as possible here, (Expect at least 75, although I'm unsure as to whether or not fanfiction has a limit). Starring, well, Link, along with Mido, Ganondorf and quite a few other characters here and there from the Ocarina of Time universe along with Kage, Kyou, the exclusively introduced Hebi and others in the future, it's looking to be huge. As Link continues his quest for Navi, he realizes just how much he still has to learn, and just what it takes to be a real warrior. A hero, maybe, but survival comes first. Stories of the Future: Tentative : Something that I came up with earlier, I always would have liked coming up with something staring the notorious Majora, but that'll have to wait for another day. Dream of Despair: Good ol' Metaknight deserves the spotlight, even though it's probably been done by other people a million times. There are also several works in the making behind the scenes of this crazy world of mine that I call a brain that are leaning towards Fictionpress exclusives, so move that cursor of yours up to the homepage link before you happen to miss the awesomeness up there. Better get this out of the way before I have to go through the trouble of hiring a lawyer... Disclaimer: I do not own Harvest Moon, Zelda or any of the games, books or movies that happen to be the setting of the stories I write. I do, however, own a few characters of my own creation, who will most likely end up playing a vital role in most of my works. And for the sake of legal purposes, I shall list them now. Theft of these titles will lead to unrelenting suffering so twisted that even the brightest minds of humanity would be incapable of even imagining such a fate, much less describing it. Death will seem like salvation if the torture happens to cease. My Original Characters: Kage Ochitsuita: “Your stupidity is enough to make me nauseous." Known among the highest ranks as simply the most powerful of warriors, Kage Ochitsuita is a relentless, brutal fighter who takes pride in nothing other than his own ability, which has never faced defeat and has yet to reach its limits, even after years of incessant, brutal training, even to the extent of shattering his own bones to have them regrow stronger than ever. Rumor has it that he has a heart colder than ice and stone, if he has a figurative heart at all. Refusing to give into temptation of human flesh and living only for the kill, this fighter pulls no punches and gives no mercy. Cross his path and say your prayers. Surprisingly, he’s been known to take apprentices under his wing and spare lives of some who’ve challenged him, and is known to be incredibly moral by those who’ve survived his presence. Those who do somehow manage to surpass his expectations know him to be either an exceptionally wise and profound thinker and fighter, and sometimes taciturn to the point where one might think him mute. Hating to rely on his teammates for pretty much anything, he likes things his own way, and is prepared to kill anything that would say otherwise to his desire. Any problem can be cut into enough pieces until it's no longer a problem. Reliance is not something he likes, grovelling is something he does not appreciate, mercy and sympathy are things he does not give, and death is something as trivial to him as blinking. Height: 6’3” Age: Unknown Kyou Gekido:"I punch through people's faces when they piss me off." “When in panic or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.” Usually works as Kage's underling, but under his sometimes joking demeanor lies a man filled with hate and rage. Most usually tend not to take him very seriously due to his habit of becoming overly emotional in some cases, but that only fuels his contempt for those around him, sometimes to the point of insanity. He has diagnosed with a cases of multiple personalities, and tends to follow his leader with mixed emotions, half from fear and the other half from hate. Feared as a legend among legends simply by being one of the few ever to survive against Kage Ochitsuita, Kyou Gekido was the first student of the infamous master. Simply being within such a high position is enough to strike fear into those knowledgeable. Those foolish or ignorant enough to deliberately cross his path severely regretted such, given as much time as they were actually granted. Not nearly as cold-hearted as Kage Ochitsuita but certainly close, Kyou Gekido is known for his mixture of moral values and vile sarcasm. Some say that his attitude is almost a mirror of that of his teacher. Those brave or imprudent enough to speak their opinions to him have met early graves. Capable of shifting his size, weight and strength to assess situations, there are perhaps none more capable of adapting. Height (Default): 5’7” Age: 29 Hebi Suterusu:“Don't play with the snakes, little boy. You're going to get bitten.” A cocky, greedy, sharp-tongued rouge who sometimes assists Kage Ochitsuita, but prefers to work alone. Armed with a deadly level of stealth, most consider her the top assassin, she's the first recommendation when it comes to her area of expertise. Her name, literally meaning “serpent” describes her perfectly. Quick to the kill and fast upon the rebound, she lets very little discourage her and works hard to better herself, simply because she chooses to. Influenced heavily by her deceased father’s powerful work ethic, she lives to fight and fights to live. Height: 5’6” Age: 26 Hitoshirezu Kokorogake: “Don’t you get it? The best possible weapon would be a cannon that fires exploding babies." A mercenary who follows orders, but tends to allow himself the freedom of bending around those rules, choosing to get the job done in his own way. Check back later for more info. Katachi: “We are merely servants. We cannot exist without purpose.” Currently a Sheikah warrior in service of the royal family of Hyrule, much of his past and true aims remain unknown. As with above, check back later for more. Quotes "He who gains victory over others is strong.
