Pony's grief has him wrestling with mortality

It's Ponyboy's first ever rumble, and the Curtis brothers try to hide it from their parents.

Pony's older now and getting tired of being in his brother's shadow.

When Ponyboy Davis moves in next door to Darrel and Sodapop Curtis, he doesn't have much hope that this town will be any different. With an abusive uncle to try and avoid, he doesn't have time to worry about making friends. But when a guy his age gets jumped and he jumps in, he might just find himself a new family.

What happens to the gang if Johnny and Dallas didn't die? What if the judge wasn't so kind to Ponyboy? Sometimes in life there is a crossroads and what if you go down the wrong fork? Can you ever find your way back?

"I can't do this, I'm only 20 goddamn years old! I can't do this… Get a grip Darry! These are your kid brothers you're talking about. You can do this…" Darry has found himself struggling to fill the role as a parent to his two brothers. Doubts circle his mind and Sodapop comes to the rescue to help ease his stress and doubts. A good ole-fashioned brother moment. ONE-SHOT!

The church was on fire. The kids were out, but Johnny was still inside. Ponyboy was desperate to save his friend, no matter the cost.

After a soc is stabbed in the park, Ponyboy is sent to a foster home until Darry can win back custody. But when Ponyboy sees something he wasn't supposed to, it will be up to Dally to get him to safety, and up to his brothers to figure out how to get him home.

A hard year after so much loss, Pony works to regain his fighting spirit, and Darry works at being the parent that Pony needs.

Ponyboy has always been quite small for his age, and he's not like the other kids in his grade. He's different, but his differences get him picked on. But what happens when people go too far?

Is four years really long enough to forget a best friend? It's the anniversary of Johnny's death and Ponyboy does what he always does on this one day of the year; visit his friend's grave to watch the sunset. Only this day ends a lot differently from previous years, changing the whole course of his life in a rather dramatic way.

The rumble is over. Johnny is dead, his brothers are worried, and the phone is ringing. But what would Ponyboy do to take it all back?

It was August 23rd, 1953. Darry & I Were waiting outside the dentist office in Oklahoma City for our now 16-year-old brother Ponyboy to come out from the dentist office. He was in for his wisdom teeth. Soon, the dentist comes out. "Family of Ponyboy Curtis?" Darry and I stand up. "It went well, he's a bit loopy but he is going to be just fine..."

The gang starts feeling uneasy when a new trouble-making greaser starts hanging around Pony. When Pony goes missing, the new greaser is oddly calm about it. Is he really the greaser that he claims to be? "Damn you! What have you done to my little brother?" Darry threw him against the wall but all he did was laugh. "Odd. I always thought you were the smart one, Darrel."

Steve gets ready to go to a drag race with Soda but instead finds a drunk Ponyboy. SHORT ONE-SHOT.

"To be born with a dream, and to have to watch that dream crumble to nothing but dust can drive one to insanity. I used to have dreams; ones that I could achieve but my brothers could not. But since arriving here, I've been reduced to a shadow amongst other things."

When I think real hard I see the image of Ponyboy Curtis, a boy with a face similar to my best friend's, eyes bright and green and rimmed red. I see him sticking a needle in his arm; hell, I see him out in the battlefields of 'Nam, gun clenched tightly between the hands that should be doing something better than fighting a war.

Some words are so hard to say. Some things hurt too much to share...

Sometimes, I wonder what my life would've been like if I'd never written that stupid theme. If I'd been allowed to stay with my brothers. If I hadn't been forced to move from home to home.

Not every story has a happy ending.

Sodapop leaving was only the beginning. The Vietnam War takes its toll as Darry Curtis struggles to hold on to his remaining brother, while remembering what he's lost in the process.

An unintentional interruption leads to an impromptu sex talk from Steve Randle. Pony is struggling a bit with growing up, and once again trying to prove he is a greaser like everyone else. Rated M for mature themes, no slash, nothing graphic.

After learning that the State is going to take him away,Pony runs to the only place where the State can't get him. Running from his past and the recent death of Johnny and Dallas he finds that he is becoming Dallas himself.

You can't hold onto the past forever and sometimes you lose your friends along the way. Dally and Johnny didn't die the night of the rumble, but the gang's problems are far from over. Alternate Ending.

One letter sent the family in different directions, each seeking the peace that comes only from being together. Time takes it's toll, and love is bound by nothing.

When Ponyboy Curtis had the accident, everything fell apart. The letter simply pushes everything forward as things will never be the same again.
