This is a shortish multichapter slightly AU story that came to me after surviving San Diego Comic Con a few weeks ago. Mostly T story with a few M chapters later in the story. Enjoy a series of meet cutes for our lovely ladies. I do not own or profit off of anything Rizzoli & Isles. I am just playing with the characters. All rights belong to TNT and Tess Gerritsen.

Maura Isles is new in town. After enjoying a meal and a few drinks at a bar, she spots a Goddess, Jane. Oh, you know the drill... its all about the Rizzles! Dont own anything!

Jane never believed in love at first sight. Nor did she think it was possible, when her partner told her he knew after only two days...but then she met someone.

Sometimes you can feel the moment when your life changes; something happens and you feel a shift. Maura Isles didn't believe in fate; not really, and yet the day she and her daughter met Jane Rizzoli she couldn't help feeling like somehow her life had changed. She wasn't really sure what she felt that day and yet she couldn't help thinking that maybe, just maybe it was fate.

With this story, I'm challenging myself to write the whole "realization and first kiss" thing without the use of role-playing, costumes, or major trauma. It may end up being really, really boring and require the intervention of an evil twin …

[COMPLETE] Maura helps Jane through a terrible shock, developing an even greater intimacy. One night, a totally unexpected kiss leaves them puzzled and confused. Now they need to figure out what to do. / Keeping it as close to reality as possible, with a mix of angst, humour, fluff and a murder case investigation. #Rizzles, of course :)

Barging into the ladies' restroom was not how Jane had hoped to begin her confrontation with Maura, but neither was letting her friend puke her guts out alone in a dingy bar bathroom. And God help Dr. Maura Isles if she had snuck out a bathroom window just to avoid a simple conversation.

AU story: Jane is a cop in the Narcotics Division. Maura is a doctor who is trying to distance herself from her ties to mobster Patrick Doyle. They have a chance encounter in the middle of the night on a street corner and their paths keep crossing after that. Final chapter posted.
