Author has written 1 story for Power Rangers. What to say about me that might interest you? I've probably had a million fanfiction ideas in my life, very few of which actually get written. Most of them written never get finished. As a result, the story selections you'll see, at least at first, are from several years ago. Even I look back at them and cringe at some parts, so don't be afraid to tell me what's wrong, so long as you have some constructive criticism to back it up. Tell me why it sucks, and suggestions on how to fix it. I actually studied writing in college at Western Kentucky University (Go Big Red!) for 4 years under various professors from the English and Drama departments. My goal is to one day work in comic books. I'd love to write them, but I'd be perfectly okay with just editing them. I'm currently a freelance editor working for a small publishing house. (Which will probably make you wonder why my work has so many grammatical errors. Let's just say I'm harsher on them than I am myself.) I currently live in Madison, WI, though my home for 25 years of my 26 year life was in southern Indiana, where I learned to love computers, video games, comic books, and anime, all of which i still surround myself with whenever I can afford them. During the summers, I work at a small amusement park in So. IN. I'll begin my 9th year there in May, where I'll be Assistant Manager of the entire Games Department, something that makes me very proud. You'll find all of my fanfiction centers around one of a few things: Anime, Sentai (or Power Rangers, as the case may be), G.I. Joe, Transformers, or Code Lyoko (a children's show that I STILL think should've been given more credit than it ever got). As much of a comic book fan as I am, I find myself unable to write other people's characters from comics, as I'd find it rather disrespectful. If I ever did get my break in the comic industry, there would only be two titles that I would feel comfortable writing: Young Avengers (Based on how few issues of this get published each year, I'd say I'm probably the series' biggest fan) or a story set in the X-Men universe, though with mostly new characters. As much as I love the mutants already in existence, I'd feel like I'd have to read all 40 years of backstory in order to write them properly. |
