A one-shot that follows Joel and Ellie in their later years as they partake in what would be their last little adventure together...

"Turns out, there's a whole lot more like you, Ellie." Joel said these words not knowing just how true they would turn out to be. An unexpected appearance reveals just how far that statement goes. A new beginning leads to new hope and a new mystery never seen or heard of before.

Drabble set at the very beginning of their journey while waiting for Tess to come to the apartment, with Ellie watching the rain while Joel naps. I wrote the rough draft right after playing that part of the game last - and it turned out like a companion piece to "Detach" although I didn't intend for it to be :)

It is Sarah's birthday, and there is only one wish on the top of her list; a new stepmom. She enlists the help of her best friend Ellie, to set him up with rough around the edges part-time waitress Tess. Even with his daughter's prodding, can love bloom for Joel, or will her wish go unfulfilled? [AU, no Cordyceps]

Like many I was confused by the game's ending; so I decided to write my ideas on what Joel and Ellie may have been thinking. From there it accidentally turned into a story about life at Tommy's, how they will adjust and how the quiet life may turn out to be not at all that quiet. This story will show how the father-daughter bond between Joel and Ellie formed over the course of nearly a year. Will contain lots of angst and lots of fluff, be prepared for both at all times.

Joel doesn't say much about his life before the Break, leaving Ellie to find answers on her own. When Maria reveals the treasured, deepest secret of his past, Ellie doesn't expect it. She only hopes that Joel will understand. Set in Jacksonville, while Tommy and Joel went off, and Maria and Ellie got something to eat.

This story bridges the gap between Winter and Spring. Joel witnesses the change that takes place in Ellie after the toll the Winter season takes on her, and does his best to help her deal with it while they press on towards Salt Lake City. The pair encounter obstacles, Infected, hunters, and plenty new experiences along the way. Concludes at the beginning of Spring in the game.

When Joel gets shot and need aid, Ellie finds herself taking help from two strangers. However it takes a twist of events when the elder of the two turns out to be a figure from Joel's past. Nonetheless, all four set out on a journey to a safe-zone in Las Vegas. Joel is puzzled with his feelings during it. After all, how do you act around your grown-up daughter you thought was dead?
