![]() Author has written 6 stories for Inception. There's not much one can say about one self without appearing narcisstically self-advertising or like a complete idiot. So I'll just state the facts (which will probably not save me from giving you the image of being totally nuts). I'm a history major (minor subject is History of Art, though I feel a lot more dedicated to that than to my major) with an addiction to art, literature, music, fashion and evenings full of french wine and cigarillos. I personally think that a good book beats a bad date by miles, and my mother says she is astouned that I have well working relationships with men because I am apparently pretty feminist. Don't get me wrong, I wear dresses and high-heels and appreciate guys holding doors open and helping me into my coat, but girls rule. It's as simple as that. As for languages, I am German (therefore I obviously speak that fluently), spent two and a half years in London when I was a kid (so I speak english fluently aswell, yet please excuse any mistakes, I don't use it that often), was forced to learn Spanish and Latin at school (ok, ok, I chose it, but struggled through for 3 respectively 5 years), and I understand a little Italian, French and Dutch. So those languages might come up in my stories, though I'll put translations in. Ah, and I'm learning Turkish at the moment in order to understand those bummers lolling around the train stations. No, not really. I just don't have enough to do at Uni :D Um, what else is of interest? Ah yeah, leo.org is my best friend, just a lot more convenient than a 1,2 kilo dictionary. Still, to err is human, so forgive an spelling/grammar/vocabulary mistakes. I'm trying my very best, which sometimes may not be enough. I'm a great fan of movies I consider art, as during my studies I had to come up with a definition of art. Inception is one of them, also Latter Days, Mysterious Skin, The Lookout, (500) Days of Summer, Stop-Loss... (and it's mere chance that Joseph Gordon-Levitt acts in each and everyone of them. Oh well, no it's not. I love him - in the figurative sense, of course). Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino are my personal Holy Trinity, though no heresy is intended (Actually, Martin Scorsese and Guy Ritchie share the placing, as there is no such thing as a Holy Quadruple). If you watch those movies (all worth seeing!) or love those directors, you get an impression of my definition of art. Music really makes the world go round... I love Einaudi, Mozart, Chopin, Elgar, Grieg, Dvorak, Beethoven, Jenkins, Barry, Reade... I could go on and on like this, but I think you know what I mean. Music is the language connecting our souls. Maybe we should speak it more often. As you see, I'ma talkative person, so I'll just stop here. If there's anything more you'd like to know, just ask. And hell, that was both self-advertising and idiotic! |
