Because when someone feels trapped they can be driven to some pretty desperate things, things you would have never figured. After many timejumps Sans decides to fight Chara in his brother's stead. Papyrus learns of his brother's decision and he rushes to his aid, only to find destruction and dust. While mourning for his brother's death, Papyrusu discovers Sans hidden workspace along with a journal that reveals that Sans kept more things to himself than he told Papyrus... After a while, it sunk in. No matter how many times he would kill himself, he'd just wake up to the same emptiness. The Underground empty and coated with dust, his brother dead, his hope gone. After yelling at his brother during an argument Sans wonders if Papyrus would ever forgive him, or if he even should.

Taking place 8 years after the barrier is broken, Frisk goes to live with Papyrus and Sans for the winter. Sans seems more distant than usual and Frisk starts feeling alone. Frisk wonders if she should reset and never break the barrier to keep everyone to herself. One day Sans finds Frisk on the edge of resetting. Frisk is terrified of how Sans will react. Sans x Frisk maybe.

While he is waiting for Undyne to come to Snowdin, Papyrus goes to Sans's Snowdin sentry station and learns the reason for his existential depression. After all, it doesn't matter if Sans tells him. It's all going to be reset anyway, won't it? (Oneshot, loosely based on "Waiting for Godot")

Even after the Pacifist route, Sans is unsure if he can trust Frisk. Frisk doesn't blame him, considering that Chara has been pestering them since the very beginning. Will Frisk find a happy ending with their new family? Or give into temptation and listen to Chara? Gender-neutral Frisk. Family/angst. No emphasis on any pairings.

When bullies tell Frisk that Sans will abandon her just like her birth parents did, she's scared that he will do that. Can her awesome dunkle Sans show her that that will never happen? A/N: Sans takes on the role of 'Dad' in this story. :)

Summary & Title rewritten: A story is told and an ending is decided. Chara and Frisk decide to work together for a future, for both humans and monsters... But to do so, they have to go against the rules. The Battle System, LV, EXP... It needs to be ignored. Combat needs to become pure again. But most of all... No one needs to die. Not again.

An Underfell!AU story where Sans is sick and Papyrus takes care of him. But not only is he sick because of being thrown out into the snow for a night, but because of high levels of depression and anxiety. Papyrus shows some brotherly love and realizes that there's a side to his brother that he's never seen before.

W.D. Gaster isn't sure how he got in a position where he is the royal scientist tasked with freeing the entire monster race AND single father of 2 active baby bones, but somehow he will make it work. (one-shots concerning Dadster and his struggles raising the adorable Sans and Papyrus)

This is an UnderFell fanfiction. It also has Frisk as the main character still. (It's also Frans, so beware!) What if Frisk was held captive in The Ruins? What if Toriel never let Frisk leave? In this story, Frisk doesn't leave The Ruins until she is 18. When she does finally manage to leave, she realizes the Underground is a far darker place than she ever realized.

When the new RESET happens, Sans and Papyrus find themselves in UnderFell and under the protection of Red and Fell. While they fixed the machine to send the two home, Sans and Papyrus had to live with the two Fell bros. Sans and Red, while sharing many things, HATE each other. But Sans is stuck there until further notice, so one of them would have to learn to suck it up soon.

Papyrus waits for Sans to come home (UNDERFELL AU!)

Underfell is a living hell for Sans. He's mistreated, unloved and unwanted. By a random act of fate, he is sucked into a portal at his darkest moment and spit out into the Underswap universe, where he meets his alternate counterparts. The long healing process must now begin and Sans and his Papyrus must both make choices that will change their relationships forever.

[Spoilers For Entire Game] "If we're really friends, you won't come back." After sparing the final boss and facing the consequences for their actions up 'til then, the fallen child takes those words to heart and resets. The next time will be better, but a question still lingers: what does it mean to be "friends"? If they keep going, maybe they'll learn the answer...

The world can change in the blink of an eye. For the skelebros, that was all the time needed to tear their world apart. Now with one in the hospital and the other slowly falling into despair... how are either to survive? When a thoughtless act leads to a brother in danger and all hope seems lost... that's when you find a light within the darkness.

Classic and underfell sans sing to one another in the privacy of each others company.

Repeating the same period of time over and over can really have an effect on a person, or in this case, a skeleton. TW for self harm.

Long ago, there was a war between Monsters and Humans. You know the rest. But Frisk doesn't. He doesn't understand why the skeleton brothers want his soul. He doesn't understand why everyone wants to kill him. All he knows is with Flowery by his side, nothing can go wrong.

"I must ask, what exactly brought this on? Cooking, I mean. You always seem content to eat your brother's pasta at lunch." Sans says without thinking, "Well, I gotta come clean with you, Doc. This is all just a ploy to lure you into hanging out with me."

After getting out from the Underground, Frisk and the others face real-world trials that await them, as well as some past memories that seem to cause chaos no matter what. An old friend comes back to kill Sans, and humans don't take well to the monsters. Slice of life. (SPOILERS, SansxFrisk, androgynous Frisk, rated M just in case. Some Angst. Reader discretion is advised)

"Ash and Paul are two sides of the same coin". We know how Ash and Paul feel about each other and how they earned each others respect at the Lily of the Valley Conference. But what if they never met in the first place. What if they had to live under the same roof and ended up traveling together? How will they coexist? Possible Amourshipping and Advanceshipping.

Why do some people have happy endings and some don't? Is it because some people 'deserve' one more than others? Does the same apply to worlds? A Sans from one world is about to find out, as he steals the happy ending of another. Now everything's messed up. Another Sans doesn't know if he's cut out for this, sounds more like a job for a proper protagonist. Features Underfell AU.

Sans is a depressed skeleton who hides his emotions. Papyrus is the exact opposite and practically radiates optimism. At least that's what many fans believe about the taller skeleton. (T to be safe)

After another reset, Frisk realized she reciprocated Sans's feelings. After destroying his life, can he ever learn to trust her? To love her?

A tie in for Don't Let Go. Gaster is a single dad, who's simply trying to balance the stress of work, and his two young sons. When a young intern brings the Doctor an interesting project, he cannot resist the temptation of putting aside the Core to see what it is all about, estranging his sons in the process.

How kid Sans got his 1HP. Gaster is Dadster. A murderous human attacks Sans. Dadster will not let this injustice go unpunished... Gaster also conducts experiments on a certain fish girl. Bye Gaster! Brotherly bonding. (There's so much stuff...)

Don't cry. Don't cry. But the truth is, I want to say out loud, "Don't go." - A confession goes wrong, and Frisk wants to disappear. But she loved Sans, and she had promised; never again. So she finds another way to disappear, all alone. Warning:Self-Harm, Suicide. fem!Frisk "PLEASE.. DON'T . . I BELIEVE IN YOU. . ! !"

Sans catches sight of something he wishes he could forget in the middle of the night.

"Tralala. The humans will not greet us nicely, and will instead find a way to hurt us again. They will capture every one of us before we even get the chance to run. They will lie to their own kind so as to torture us. Run before it is too late, and if you don't, expect your sanity and magic to be destroyed. In other words, DON'T TRUST THE HUMANS! Tralala. Have good day, Sans."

In every reset almost something new happens, be it that Frisk could be wearing a skirt, or that Chara isn't even that powerful. But almost every time something small happens that Sans tries to figure out, but sometimes he doesn't believe it. I mean what are you going to say when your murder claims that they're Frisk, but Frisk is right over there crying and shaking half to death?

Underfell AU. He was late, again. What possibly could have been holding him up at this time of night? When Sans returns home from a fight with a genocidal human, barely hanging onto life, how will Papyrus react? Inspired by GoalPuppet's comic of the same name on Deviantart.

"hey there. what's your name?" The curious and young Sans walked over to another skeleton who was hiding from him. "ya don't need to be afraid of me. i won't hurt ya." "How can I trust you?" "well, do ya like it here?" "No." "what if i promised ya that i'd help ya out of here?" "You'd do that?" "sure. i promise." "Okay. Then I promise that I won't purposefully hurt you."

Bad dreams are normal. But nice days can be rare, you know? And on this fine day, Papyrus asks his brother about learning how to sled.

A brief look on the family life of Gaster, Sans and Papyrus, up until when days started repeating. Ch1: Sans gets chased by half the Royal Guard while trying to get Papyrus an action figure. Ch2:Training with Dadster gets a bit out of hand. Ch3: Skelemom enters the fray.

*UNDERFELL AU* If there's one thing Papyrus isn't its sweet. So, when he wakes Sans up from his nap only to lavish him in loving attention he's pretty sure that the world is ending

Frisk needs help with his homework and everyone's busy, but, he gets help from one person, visible only to him, who has nothing but time, sessions continue and his grades improve, which makes it harder to hide his source. Also, Sans is acting peculiar, glued to his phone, spending more time out of the house, and a curious Papyrus is determined to see just what his brother is up to.

First came joy, next came disappointment, then came tragedy. Although Papyrus was killed by someone close to him, that didn't stop him from seeing events unfold in front of him. (Genocide Run, Female Frisk/Chara)

After Frisk left the Underground, leaving a trail of blood and dust in their wake, Sans learned more than he had ever wanted to about Undyne the Undying. (ALPHYNE. SPOILERS FOR NEUTRAL RUN. WARNING FOR SUICIDAL THEMES.)

When a pair of bullies offer to become Papyrus' friend, they tell him that he has to find a treasure hidden in a cave somewhere in Hotland. Unfortunately, Sans is also dragged into this mess thanks to his brother. As much as Papyrus wants friends, is it really worth it to put himself and his brother in danger?

"Chara... I think if you're around... Just living in the surface world doesn't seem so bad." As this new life opens its arms out to the most unsuspecting people, they learn something tragic; that it's not until you try to recover that you realize just how broken you really are. Little does Sans know that what is about to take place will make up for the years of self loathing; and answers he's been searching for will finally surface. Sans always watched the timelines reset. Because of a freak incident, the timeline was contaminated. A mysterious figure told him he had to go in and destroy the hate, but this timeline was more than contaminated. Everyone was dark, twisted. Sans decides he's going to take a break this timeline.

Sans wakes up after yet another reset. However, something is different about this playthrough. Something is loose in the time stream and is wreaking havoc with the way things are meant to be. Gaster x Child!Reader. The reader as a child is only seven years old. They fell down in the Underground and Gaster had to take care of them and he raised them. They got along with him, Sans and Papyrus. He ended up treating the reader as his own child. The reader ended up calling him 'dad'. Six years later, the reader had lost their 'dad', then they returned to the surface.

Genocide run ending but with a twist. Was the cold-blooded murder in front of him really Frisk, or someone else? Sans realizes he did something horribly, horribly wrong. San's POV (rated T for coarse language/etc.)

Your brother is slipping away from you a little, because this world Aboveground is so full to bursting with opportunity that it would probably kill him to sit still. And you understand, and you're so happy for him it expands beneath your breastbone like something physical, and you know he's gonna make you proud. (Post-Pacifist, twoshot.)

Frisk hates the silence of a house when the Skeleton brothers aren't home. Drabble.

There's a whole new meaning to the word "embarrassing", Sans thinks, when your brother and someone you barely know sees you break down. [very slight papyton, night terror sans]

TRIGGER WARNING! CHARACTER DEATH, SELF HARM/MUTILATION, SUICIDE/Frisk couldn't deal with all the memories, he couldn't deal with Flowey's constant reminder, he couldn't deal with Sans' wary gaze, but most of all, he couldn't deal with being forgiven.

Sans thought that after everything stabilized, when the anomaly finally resolved itself, that his pit of hopelessness and depression would subside. It got worse. Papyrus intervenes, sometimes.

Hurting loveable and kind Frisk is one way to have a bad time. AU takes place in a world where Frisk, Asriel and Chara lives together with Toriel and Asgore in the outside world after Frisk revived the other two through some sketchy miracle involving determination and love.

How many times can you go through the same day, the same pain before things start to go wrong? You experience the exact same thing day after day but slowly you start to lose your morals. After all, why does it matter if things can be reset? You like causing them pain. But.. why does the pain he inflicts on you feel even better?

Plagued with the constant fear of his whole life being reset, plagued with the fear of seeing Chara once again, Sans will have to witness first hand the consequences to having so much knowledge within him and what it will do to his mind. He will see how many times someone can break emotionally, seeing the same thing a million times and never being able to stop it.
