Tag to 7x12, 7x13. Done to death but here's my version. Set at the wedding and goes through the wedding night, honeymoon and afterward. Will be a few chapters. How does one handle pure and utter joy after years of pain and loneliness? Patrick is about to find out. T for now, but may venture later into M.

Lisbon goes missing. When Jane and the team find her they are faced with a shocking discovery of what has happened to her during the missing month, leaving both she and Jane disoriented. A modern gothic story, somewhat inspired by the likes of Jane Eyre. Jane is a brooding widower in a creepy old house, where Teresa Lisbon is hired to be the nanny to his daughter, Charlotte. After the death of Red John, and with the Blake Association still at large, Jane and Lisbon flee to South America. Though they've left the conspiracy behind them, Lisbon soon finds their island paradise has its own complications when she begins to question the wisdom of being in a relationship with a professional conman. As always, Jane has the solution. Set after "Into the Blue."

"'Your letters,' she gasps as his lips find a particularly sensitive spot on her neck, and her breathing hitches between words. 'You said...you were…mine.' 'Yours,' he agrees. 'I…am yours.'" Companion piece to "In Case".

"'Leaving you is going to destroy me all over again,' he whispers, leaning his forehead down to rest against hers." After killing Red John, Jane visits Lisbon before heading off the grid.

After seeing Jane in a new light, Teresa starts getting a yearning to have a child. This story follows season 7 but fills in some gaps (from my perspective). Total Jisbon

She had no idea what he read on her face, which emotions she had let slip, but it was enough. She watched as his smile faltered and his face fell, a flash of comprehension crossing his eyes. "You took your decision." "I did," she confirmed, her voice raspy. "D.C. offered me a job." If Lisbon had told Jane in 6x21... And how their goodbyes could've looked like.

Another continuation of Blue Bird. How do Jane and Lisbon begin their new life together? What obstacles do they have to overcome and will they find happiness or will the past get in the way?

'Jane couldn't help himself, and he looked around as though he was searching for something. "Hm, well, I don't see any art thieves on our floor, and definitely none where you're standing." '

She swallowed, waiting for him to say goodbye; time was in the essence, in both their cases, yet she couldn't bring herself to say it first. She could still hear him breathing hard. But the next words that escaped his mouth weren't the ones she had braced herself to hear. "Good luck, Teresa, I love you." What if Lisbon got to answer Jane's phone call in 6x08?

Because he'd finally managed to admit what he was truly feeling. To accept that he'd fallen in love again and that it was okay.

After the (great) season finale, Lisbon and Jane muse about their past and present relationship and their new knowledge of each other's past.

Patrick Jane misses his little island home and takes the chance of going back. Post Blue Bird spoilers, sorta. Complete fantasy, maybe. ***Me? Own the Mentalist? Not a chance. I just like to dream about upcoming episodes and put them onto paper. No money changing hands to produce this story.***
