Author has written 3 stories for Beyblade. Heyo to all my fellow readers and writers! Euphrosyne here with a little roundup to what’s happening! - Posted Fics - She’s Going Where! - Complete Why? - Running Bastard Academy - Running -Now Here!- -Frequently Asked Questions About- Euphrosyne’s Fic III .:~ Bastard Academy~:. Summary- The world’s most eligible bachelor, the city’s perfect man, the school’s irresistible charmer. Three guys, three classes, one school, one girl. Who will settle for second best? Locations: Rene- founded by the Valkov family, Tala's grandfather is the current headmaster. Though the prestigious academy is for the wealthy, (many) students are usually admitted under different names for their protection. Their identity remains unheard unless announced by thestudent him/herself. It is safe to assume that most students recognize Tala as the Rene heir, and Kai as the Hiwatari heir. Lee Estates- a monumental symbol recognized for its scenic land. Rye is expected to inherit this land when she turns 18. The Empire- single-handedly founded by Rye's mother, Melisande Lovett- a mass icon not only in the Entertainment Industry but also in the business world. Hints: References to photos, occupations, and things like Enrique’s mum’s magazine Attitude and Brooklyn’s little creation, the nerd kit play key roles if not guiding symbols throughout the story, example: Enrique’s mum’s magazine Attitude (with a French accent, lol) is a fundamental symbol of recognition under the public eye. The first person introduced by the magazine was Melisande. Melisande LEE is indeed Riley. Students at Rene live a double life, this is hers. For Riley, her life as "Melisande" is the life she is trying to escape (in their own little way, and to different extents, our three leading men also see, if not feel the need to escape something). Chapter 01 – Rene's crest engraved with the words, Liberty and union, now and forever, one and inseparable” ~ Tala: “Ray’s having enough trouble ‘wooing’ Mariah as it is. Don’t take his advice. Stick to the code.” The Russian addressed his friend with a fork. “Everyone here’s living a lie, trying to be like regular day folk, but we know better. They’re all of status, but until they voice their own titles, we’re stuck playing their sick game of pretend.” ~ Enrique’s stories were constantly put down until a little discovery in Chapter 08, enlightens him, giving him inspiration, if not potential, to create something posing quite dangerous against our favorite characters. Chapter 02 – Kai is artistically gifted and enjoys painting for a reason, “It reminded him of his mother before she passed away. He was ten. He would fall asleep, soaring on the memories of him and her face painting, smearing blue paint across each other’s cheeks, then laughing it off as she chased him with a hose…”. Y'all might want to keep that painting of his in mind too…muwahaha. Chapter 03 – Where all the name confusion starts. Rye’s mother is Melisande LOVETT (note maiden name), Rye’s birth name is Melisande LEE (note father’s last name). Rye’s mum hates being called Melisande Sr, lol, makes her feel old, wrinkly, and insecure. For this reason, I always refer to Rye’s mother as Ms. Lovett and not Mrs. Lovett. As for the Leigh vs. Lee thing, Rye’s mother was trying to fancy Rye’s name up, hoping to change her identity. Rye’s mum is in the entertainment business, fancy name changes are not uncommon. (The Leigh vs. Lee thing was confronted in Chapter 5. I eliminated Leigh from the story all together as I too, found it confusing) Chapter 04 – The big (and first) Kai and Rye scene. Pretty self-explanatory, but again, note the importance of Kai’s love for Art and the extent he went to fulfilling that love. Note the painting too, now further explained and probed- a physical object acting as a reminder for the Kai/Rye meet at the Lee Estates. Chapter 05 – A deeper look into the Melisande-Melisande relationship (Rye and her mum). New characters, Ghita and Tasie (short for Anastasie) are introduced. ~ Ms. Lovett lectures Riley about the men in her life, suggesting she start dating. The woman labels Brooklyn unworthy, Kai unsuitable, and Tala most attractive. “Your friend Brooklyn barely makes the list. He is a dependable confidante but I would never permit my daughter to marry the son of a convict. Why settle for him when you have his cousin. The Valkov’s have made quite the effort in covering up their little family secrets. We should reward them for that.” Brooklyn's father is in jail, he is a convict. Brooklyn's father was also a doctor, for this prime reason, Brooklyn is in Sciences. Brooklyn’s mother has never been mentioned in the story. You’re not all going crazy, lol! ~ We also learn in this chapter, though only hinted, that Rye was sent to Rene to improve her temperament. We learn in Chapter 09 (though also only suggestively stated), that Kai was sent to Rene for similar reasons. Chapter 06 – For all you wondering how Tala fits into this story (side from that fact that I lurve him!), our lovely redhead is the character that connects the other two males, Kai and Brooklyn, together. The three have a rather messy relationship, I admit, but one so very much fun to write! All and all, Tala’s parents, better yet, his family, play an important role in the story. He, though bound by expectations (he is the Rene heir; not to mention, constantly placed against Brooklyn academically by his grandfather) and tradition (he’s never brought a girl home to introduced to his parents) lives a relatively sane, if not, a healthy life. In a way, this is what Kai and Brooklyn both strive for. Will they attain it? You’ll just have to wait and see. Rye describing Tala in Chapter 05, “It was almost admirable the way he blurted answers without a feel of regret or shame.” The boy’s innocent upbringings hold honesty within him; no matter what a player, sexaholic, and jerk he is, he is loyal (and downright gorgeous!). And yes, to those who asked me, Rye = Melisande LEE = teen idol = Tala love. You are very much correct about Tala there, he is attracted to Melisande and finds Riley dull and intolerable- not knowing of course, that they are the same person. Tala however, finds Rye's lack of attraction towards his charm, different, if not interesting. ~ We end with a little Rye’n’ Brooklyn scene. So sad, so sad. Chapter 07 – A look into the Rye-Brooklyn-Mariah-Ray quadrilateral. Throw in our, um, “loyal” Tala in this mess and well, things really go for the worst. ~ The blurb about Brooklyn and what Kai made out to be anger (during Pizza incident). Minor foreshadowing there. ~ Other important notes? Kai was reading the stocks under his father’s orders. Ming Ming has VIP passes into clubs and other rowdy parties. My Beta’s going all, “how the hell was I suppose to pick up on all those notes?” on me right now…-_-;; Chapter 08 – Enrique, Enrique, Enrique. What does our blond cutie have in store for Rye and Kai now that he’s been ‘inspired’ to write about’em? Being the son of the woman who founded one of the biggest tabloid magazines, Enrique does not really understand the vastness of his discovery. He’s not evil, quite opposite actually, he considers the discovery small- therefore not making an impact, if he were to, lets say, write about it then handing it in as his final class project. ~ My Rye/Kai scene with out favorite blue-haired boy all sick and vulnerable. Another look into their relationship. ~ The nerd kit is introduced, a medical aid kit created by Brooklyn, given to members of his little social circle (assume Garland, Scarlett, and Rye as his more valued companions, though B’s such a sweetheart, he probably loves everyone equally. That’s a lot of love). ~ As for the second half of this chapter, can’t give anything away because the most important hint (given in the opening blurb of this -Hints- section) is THEE twist in this fic. All I can say is find it, find it! (Everyone is connected, one way or another...) Leave a review, message, or email for further clarification on the story. Righteo! Please read and review! Cheers! |
