# I'm an author on the site (which author I'm not saying). What I will say is that this is my second page. Why you might ask would I open a second page when I already have one. Well I want to improve fanfiction without cluttering up my own page or receiving PM's/insults.

# My intention isn't to offend anyone. I apologise if I do in advance. What I want this page to be is a resource for Naruto fanfiction writers to use.

# Basically on this profile will be a link to several items which I've come across which may help you and any stories released here are most likely parody ones.

Beginners guide to writing fanfiction.
This is quite long, but it's available on GrimMalice's profile and was initially written by mortalone. I would lol at the irony that the person who wrote the guide didn't actually finish their work but 1) I can't stand text speak and 2) There are loads of people who have come unstuck in regards to fanfiction.

If you have an idea for a story, before you think about writing it ask a couple of questions.

1) "Do you have an idea of when your story will end?" For example number of chapters, possible stage in Canon etc...
2) "Do you feel that your story's size is realistic?" Honestly if you intend to write Naruto through the day he graduates the Academy, through Wave, then through the Chuunin Exams, The Invasion, Tsunade's Recruitment, Valley of the End etc... Do you honestly think that's realistic?
3) "Do you have a beginning, middle and end?" Basically a plan of where you want to go with the story and how it ends.

If your answer is something like "I don't know." or "No." then just save your time. If you can get past those, read the guide.

Lemons
I will hold my hands up. When I first wrote a lemon it was awful. It was so awful in fact that I rewrote an entire chapter to change it. However NarutosBrat has written a Beginners Gride to Lemon Writing. Just follow the advice he gives, look for lemons that you like and work from there if you write one.

Poll on what people don't like in fanfiction:
I recently messaged (1st December 2010) TheBarefootBandit as they're conducting a poll on their profile on "What reader's don't like about fanfiction?". I asked him/her if they could tell me the current voting. I was PM'd back and I was told that the leading thing readers don't like is unfinished stories and Bad spelling, formatting etc...

Fair enough that only 25 people had voted as I was told but still, considering 24/25 voted unfinished stories as a nuisance and 22/25 voted bad spelling but I think that's a pretty good inclination of what people don't like. The poll is still going on by the way if you're interested.
