 Hi :) I love reading. My favourite books are by far the Harry Potter series. I am also a huge fan of Rick Riordan, Agatha Christie and The Seven Realms series, among many others. In my favourite list most stories are, in fact, about Harry Potter, though I have a few Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last Airbender fanfics as well. Even though we know very little about them, my favourite characters are James and Lily (especially Lily). So obviously, most of these stories will have both of them. These stories can be about:
There are also some funny and cute one-shots. I find opalish's Harry Potter's Guide to the Dark Arts and Broccoli and the Art of Subterfuge ridiculously hilarious. I usually greatly dislike fics where Harry is all powerful/dark/abused/independent/not completely human/etc. EXCEPTION: Kurinoone's 'The Darkness Within' Trilogy. I LOVE it!! In general, I like when people stick as close to Canon as possible. I also hate all kinds of bashing (I know Dumbledore made some mistakes, but he loves Harry and is a great person! Come on people!) I am really of bothered when people portray Lily as an unpopular bookworm who is only known to the rest of Hogwarts because she hates James' guts. JKR herself said that Lily was the POPULAR, LIKED girl, and that she was a lot more like Ginny than Hermione. PAIRINGS: I like CANON pairings. I don't get why so many people hate Harry/Ginny. I find Ginny to be a lovely character and I think they work very well together. All of my favourite stories are well written (I think); not all of them are complete, though. |
