During a battle against Justin Hammer's army of robot Adaptoids, the Avengers notice how Agent Barton A.K.A. Legolas A.K.A Hawkeye never misses. The World's Greatest Archer has their backs...but Clint's not certain they have his.

In the middle of another late night, Tony Stark is disrupted from his work when their resident archer comes stumbling in.

It's been just awhile since the big battle and the two partners aren't taking it as well as they thought they would, now that they had the time to think things through. "Now, bad news – I just triggered a shit load of explosives. Yay."

This takes place after the Avengers movie and Phil is still alive, just badly injured after the incident with Loki. Tony and Clint had never gotten along. Both had strong personalities and clashed any time they could. There was one particular fight that had gotten so out of hand it had caused the rest of the team to stop them. Neither of them had forgotten that incident, nor had forgiven each other.

During a routine recon mission for SHIELD, Clint disappears without a trace. In trying to find him, the team stumbles across an unwelcome and psychotic blast from Clint's past out for revenge. And it seems he's not working alone... In other words, Clint's in danger. Must be Tuesday.

A sparring accident brings the Hulk surging forward to protect 'Arrow Man' and the team realizes for the first time just how protective of their archer the Hulk can be, even when the threat is one of them. *One-shot based on a reference from a story in my Vantage Point Universe* But you don't have to have read that story.

Clint waits to tell the others he's been shot until they get to the extraction point, but when he makes it there SHIELD isn't coming.
